Good location, main points of interest are within walking distance. Railway and bus station are very close. Staff is not friendly and polite , though. Car parking in nearby garage costs extra, around 20 EUR per day.

The morning breakfast buffet was outstanding as was the service and friendliness of the staff. The location is ideal for the bus stop, movie theatre and downtown. My only suggestion would be the addition of complimentary wireless internet so that customers do not have to rely on the sole computer terminal in the lobby where it tends to be smokey at times.

An Austrian hotel and the high prices reflect this. Unfortunately Austrians think somehow they can trade on their reputation for quality by overcharging. That reputation and those days are long gone but Acortel seems to have missed it. Staff here are inattentive or overworked. The underground car park is expensive but guarded. If you have a big car, you'll find the parking spacings difficult as there is not enough room to turn. The worst thing about this hotel is there is no internet in the rooms except at additional costs and then only a dial up. This is simply not good enough in 2006. There are plenty of hotels in Zagreb with FREE high speed internet connectivity at much reduced prices (Palace, International etc). The TV channels available are mainly German speaking and do not reflect the cable TV channels available in the rest of Zagreb - no Discovery, Animal Planet etc (which are usually in English with Croatian subtitles - ideal for learning the language).

This hotel deserves its 4 star status. The room was a good size, and although on a main road the double glazed windows eliminated any sounds from the outside. The staff were friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was probably one of the best I have had at any hotel. The food in the restaurant was good, the only downside was the very expensive wine.

Located only 10 mins walking to town center. Very good communications: trams, next to central bus station. Quite modern desing. Continental breakfast very good. We were very happy with our choice, specially after having stayed in few other hotels in Croatia.

Really good hotel with very convenient placement (near the bus and train station and close to the center of the city). The only disadvantage I found was the absence of Internet access in the room, but u can use the free Internet in the lobby area

Very friendly staff, perfect location - 3 min walk to main railway station, tram station directly in front. The Cosmopolitan at the hotel bar is highly recommended!
