Everything is clean, but the gray walls in the rooms and halls make the hotel look dingy. Also, my room had no sunlight at all and overlooked a courtyard where there was construction equipment. Adequate, but not a pick-me-up at the end of the day.

Great location - near Dupont Circle - and a great place to stay. I like the 'modern' 30's deco style of the hotel. The rooms are simple, but have style and are very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Staff was very friendly and polite, but need to know more about local restaurants. Room was very clean and pleasant, but other hotels in this price range (or even cheaper) typically provide shampoo and a small amount of coffee for coffee maker. We were very surprised not to find these things--it does make a difference to your customers. Price was a bit high, but overall we were very happy.
