The Graben is very central - guests can walk to all the main tourist sites in Vienna. While older and of smaller size this hotel is a real find, with friendly service and we highly recommend it

I don't think this hotel deserve 4 star rating. The room was so small that we couldn't even fit 2 pieces of luggage. The location was excellent, however there was no air conditioning in the room, so we opened the window to the internal very small yard to get some fresh air and were waked up every morning by the cleaners at 6am. The first morning we couldn't even get our coffee for the breakfast as the waiter never came to the breakfast room. It was the worst hotel we ever stayed in Vienna.

The Graben Hotel Vienna was quite simply superb. The staff, facilitiies and value for money was second to none. Probably the best thing about the Graben is its location, being literally right in the hub of the main shopping thoroughfare with the square just seconds away from the main door. Access from the airport was simple. The bus dropped us to the door!

This is a very good small hotel. The staff were always most polite and helpful and the breakfast facilities were excellent. The position of the hotel could hardly be better for the centre of the city and the transport links. The standard room is rather cramped but since one would normally only be there for sleeping; it is of no import. Opposite the hotel is an excellent bar/restaurant with an extensive Viennese menu - recommended.

This hotel is ideally located for a visitor to Vienna, even though finding it would be hard but for knowledgeable taxi drivers. Our room was small and services basic, but it was clean. Hotel service was adequate and breakfast was fine.

I was very disappointed when I got to my room as I expected a 4 **** hotel. It was small and not particularly clean. I asked to have another room and the one I was given was slightly better than the first but still way short of a 4*** rating. I would not give them more than 2** for their facilities. I thought it was way below average for the price I paid. The location was very good but I would certainly not recommend it

We would have loved to be able to rate this hotel properly, unfortunately they were overbooked and had no room for us, even though we arrived at noon on the arrival date. We booked the hotel months in advance. They offered no compensation, other than allowing us to stay at another equivalent hotel, which unfortunately, was not in as good a location. Based on this bad experience, we cannot recommend the Graben. Frequent travellers from Toronto, Canada
