From 08:30 in the morning, there was a lot of noise in the hallway - cleaning staff's and guests' movements and activities were very audible. On Sunday, the breakfast was hardly enjoyable, since there were only two employees around and they could not cope with the departure and arrival of all the patrons in the lunch room.

I have never stayed in a Golden Tulip Hotel and dined in their restaurants (Vienna, Vancouver, Keukenhof) and been disapppointed. A good chain with European flavour.

Good location, not far from Westbahnof,(rail station) easy to get into city centre and other rail connections. There is airport bus direct to Westbahnhof for 6 Euro against a taxi fare of approx. 35 Euro. Hotel currently undergoing renovations. First visit we had an older room, which would just rate a pass, but on second visit, we had a larger renovated and quiet room, which was very good. Hotel does not have restaurant for evening meals, but there are pleanty of restaurants within a 5 min walk of the hotel. Because of its excellent location and new renovations, would stay there again.

A spacious, clean room with good facilities. Balcony was particularly appreciated. However, the temperature of the ventilation could not be adjusted and was uncomfortably warm (given the warm weather at the time of our stay).

We stayed 4 days in Vienna and the golden tulip wien city is a really good place to start sightseeing and shopping. There is a nonstop bus from airport to westbahnhof and from there you need only a 4 min walk to the hotel. westbahnhof is also an underground station (5 min to the city center) and the very famous shopping mall begins there. The staff at the hotel is friendly and breakfast is fine. The rooms are not new but clean and nice and overall quiet!!! Golden tulip wien city has a very good relationship between price/quality.

The location is good and this is may be the only advantage of this hotel. The quality of servise offered does not meet the 4 stars standard. We stayed for 4 nights and our bed sheets were not changed. There was only one shower cap in the bedroom and we haven't received another one untill the end of our stay. The quantity of food offered for breakfast was limitted and in many cases the gasts were waiting some more food to be brought from the kitchen.

Price quoted on internet is not the same as when I try to reserve by phone, which forces me to unnecessarily give out my credit card details online, which is always a card-security risk! Porn channels are mixed in with regular TV channels! This means that even if I DO NOT WANT TO watch them, I cannot avoid them even for a few seconds while I am switching channels! This means that I would NEVER bring children to your hotel or even recommend it to others with children! The phone didn't work! This means that my partner left without breakfast in the morning, and I could only order breakfast by using my own mobile phone to contact the hotel! Also there was no breakfast menu in the room to choose from to order breakfast. We were not compensated for the breakfast my partner had to leave without, nor for my 2 mobile calls made (the 2nd one because the coffee arrived without milk)
