the central heating was cold and that was the reason why i got a cold; so 3 night at this hotel was in a cold atmosphere, even if i informed at the reception about that.

Actually, the direction was super bad, it was stated that the location was just around the corner of the West Train Station of Vienna,, I think it is better to give some directions or type of transportation that we can use to reach the hotel and i was super mad about this, you know I have walked for nearly one hour to reach 'that' hotel!!!!!

Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Trolley bus stop outside hotel was very convenient. Good breakfast, basic room, lift very old but in good working order. I would stay again and recommend this hotel as good value for money.

I was booked into this hotel but upon arrival was told that I would be transferred to a different hotel. Snow had caused flooding in the hotel which had resulted in one of the floors being completely closed. I was accommodated in the Lenas Vienna, a brand new hotel, very basic and clean but with no facilities. The kitchen was not finished and breakfast was served in a restaurant around the corner. The Donauwalzer seemed a nice place though.

The Hotel is on a very busy Street. Be sure to request a quiet room at the back of the hotel as the front rooms can be hot in summer and very noisy if the widows are opened

When we arrived the hotel had no room for us despite it having been booked several months in advance. The hotel receptionist(male) was discourteous and unhelpful. At one point he offered to fight with me outside. Fortunately a female receptionist took over and found us a room in the attic. We were moved into a twin room the next day although a double had been booked. This was my wife's first experience of Austrian hospitality and the last.

After a five hour journey 6 elderley people were told on arrival that we had to go to another hotel for one night. We found this inconvenient and it lost us a days holiday. Dorothy Severns

We could not recommend this hotel. Despite having made a reservation for a triple room six months in advance, the person on reception thought it acceptable to put our five-year-old daughter in a separate room on her own at the other end of a long corridor. In the event, she slept with her mother. The matter was rectified the following morning, but we were then put in a room at the front of the hotel where there was very noisy traffic all night, plus a noisy nightclub until 4.30am. On one occasion, after waiting 15 minutes in a queue at reception to get our room key, I felt justified in going into the staff only area to get the key myself. The rooms are stuffy and the hotel needs airconditioning.

I thought it was closer to the city center, but it was easy to get to once you know what street car or subway. It is by U-Bahn stop Alser Strasse. Overall, good service and decent lodging.

Quite a nice but not luxurious hotel in a typical Viennese house (painted slate blue!) just opposite a tram stop and near the Alser Street subway station. Nice people, helpful and friendly. Perhaps a bit noisy at the corner of two very busy streets and at the side of a high subway line, but it was not a problem for us. Not a very central location, but with the tram line 44 one's in 5-10 minutes at the Schottentor. With the subway line 6 very easily reached from the West railway station.

I stayed at this nice hotel on February and if I ever travel to Vienna I will stay in this hotel again! The staff in the hotel was very friendly and polite. The hotel is located very close to the center and it takes just 5 min to reach the center by metro, or to walk for 40 min. My room was perfect and there were all facilities there, which I needed. The dining-room of the hotel is very nice and every morning during your breakfast you can enjoy a classical music, which sounds in the restaurant, where you have breakfast. If you want to find not expensive and nice place for your staying in Vienna, I recommend you this place! But if you used to find negative things in everything and expect luxurious accomodation, this variant is not for you! People, who usually try to find bad things in everything to spoil their vacation, will manage succesfully with this, if they stay in the hotel. So, friends, try and have your own opinion about this hotel!

When we arrived we were said that our booking was not valid, and there was no room available for us, although our credit card had already been charged for the whole stay. They said that this was your agency's, Hotelclub, fault! After much inconvenience(we had to beg them let us stay the night!), the manager informed us the next morning that she had contacted you and solved the problem. The room we were given was barely larger than a corridor, one had to be on the bed to let space for the other one to walk!!! The shower was Scottish, one moment you were showering with boiling hot water, the other with freezing cold. The receptionists were extremely ironic and rude.
