had 3 upper floors but no lift , room was clean but very small , breakfast was very basic. there was no bar . overall it done the job for sleaping in ,was close to attractions , was clean, and staff were pleasant , average hotel which we would rate 3 out off 5

Staff were helpful and friendly. Double room spacious. Eat as much as you like at breakfast. 10 min walk from St Marks Square, if you don't get lost. Restaurant across the square 1 minute walk. Would stay here again.

Wonderful location and staff. Hotel is quiet and the rooms very comfortable. This was my third stay at the Scandinavia and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Elsewhere stories of scaffolds and power cuts but no evidence Feb 08. Breakfast basic but sufficient. Rooms clean and quiet but no kettle. Excellent location approx 5min from Rialto or 10 from San Marco. For a Venice location quite easy to find. For less touristy food area head off via NW corner of square for 5min.

Once you find it this is a super location! The breakfast room is a little small and the offering a little limited, but as a base for seeing the best of Venice its very good. The air conditioning is acceptable, but is really pushed if its above 25 degrees. Rooms have no views to speak of, so stay healthy.

Stayed here in 2002. Renovation work going on in this historic building, breakfast cramped...don't go down on the hour or half hour when people arrange to meet, but great location, fab church, lively square, your own bit of canal and NO NOISE something to be prized in Venice.

Staff was helpful and friendly, but breakfast was poor: canned fruit cocktail? Also, no hot water for shower the first morning there. Thought the rooms priced too high for accomodations.
