San Clemente Palace Venice Description
The San Clemente Palace is a large luxury hotel located on the private island of San Clemente, a veritable haven of peace since 1131, when the first church was built. This luxurious hotel is housed in the former convent where the prayers of the Doges ascended for many centuries. Open spaces, sea air, sun, and quick access to the historic centre of Venice: everything comes together to attract tranquillty-seeking holidaymakers throughout the year.
The hotel has 200 rooms with a 4-metre-high ceiling and large windows with a view of the hotel gardens. The furnishings and colours scheme are based on four Venetian themes: the Doges, the Merchants, the Nobles, and the Seafarers. The hotel offers a choice of four restaurants : the elegant Cà dei Frari, Les Maschere, typically Venetian, Gli Arazzi with a classic décor in the large hall of the convent, and La Laguna, more informal, beside the pool.
The San Clemente Palace is housed in a 17th century monastery on the private island of San Clemente. It can be reached in 15 minutes from Piazza San Marco. The island of San Clemente is a veritable haven of peace surrounded by a four hectare park. Its location offers lovely, unique views of Piazza San Marco and the island of Lido.

The San Clemente Palace is a Venice luxury grand hotel for elite tourism on the private island of San Clemente, in front of Piazza San Marco, La Giudecca and the Lido, dating back to 1131, the year in which the church was built. Today's complex, enhanced by open-air courtyards, swimming pool, tennis court, golf court and park, retains all the charm and atmosphere of the ancient monastery of the Camaldolesi order, built in the second half of the seventeenth century.
