I stayed at the Palace Bonvecchiati Venice over the carnival week-end with my wife and daughter. Overall the experience was a good one, the staff was courteous and the location was great (5 mins from St Marks Sq - less without the carnival crowds). I apreciated the full breakfast, especially since we were travelling with a child. We booked a junior suite and I found the space was quite generous when compared to the usually tiny rooms in Venice.

Wonderful hotel. An absolute gem beautifully decorated in modern styles surrounded by the antiquity of Venice, a spectacularly pleasant contrast. The hotel was faultless in every way. Would not contemplate staying anywhere else in Venice. Ideal location being just three minutes walk to either St. Mark's Square or to Rialto Bridge.

I have stayed in Palace Bonvecchiati for two nights. This is my first trip to Venice. I booked this hotel is based on the previous review and is lovely. The location is excellent. Very convenient and centrally located near the St. Marco Square.

lovely hotel but we were given a very small room on a corner. hotel advertised as having big rooms and we booked a superior double room. not happy with the size of the room. nice hotel in a good location

The room that was ordered was not the room that we ended up in. Hotel was overbooked and they were not willing to do anything about their own mistake other then but a board between two twin matresses.

We loved the hotel! The staff were delightful, our Superior Room was upgraded to a Junior Suite without our requesting it and we opened our shutters and windows (5 of them in all) to hear the sounds of the narrow streets and alleys of Venice! When the housekeeping staff closed our room down with their turn down service, the room was unbelieveably quiet and restful. Overall a 5* experience. A short walk to all of the main attractions of Venice that we loved!

I stayed in venice as part of a 3 day business trip. The hotel was very good, spacious rooms and very comfortable. there is a gym and a jacuzzi and steam rooms on the top floor which is a lovely added extra, but you have to book to use these. the only criticism I have is that the breakfast room is quite small and cannot seat all the guests staying at the hotel. My advice would be to get there early.

The Bonvecchiati offers excellent service from the moment you enter the door to the moment you leave, providing the visitor with that special feeling much missed in modern 'luxury' hotels. The rooms are spacious and furnished to an extremely high standard. The only drawback being the price of one days entertainment package in the room (27 euro/24hrs). The food (breakfst) was excellent and the hotels' location, adjacent to the main route between Rialto and San Marco meant that access to all areas of Venice is assured and without problems. The hotel has all local amenities close to hand and was a delight to stay at
