Typical of any Italian Hotel, the Locanda is a friendly, clean and comfortable hotel to stay in. Not five star but then again it doesn't claim to be! Enjoyed stay on Murano, only five minute walk to vaperetto stop and typically twentyfive minutes by boat to anywhere in Venice. Would recommend this hotel!!

very nice place on the murano-island. For those who are looking for a peaceful staying, because in the evening, Murano gets empty. the hotel is very clean, with a nice terrace, the rooms are charming, with comfortable bathroom.

We had ground floor rooms which were well furnished and very comfortable. Guests on upper floors must be prepared to climb stairs with their luggage. Breakfast is prepacked croissants and coffee from a machine. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff helpful. Murano made an interesting base from which to visit Venice and the islands.

Sstaff was outstanding, very friendly and helpful. ACTV system is confusing on when?where the all night boats run to and from. Need good maps how to get from the water bus stops to hotel. If there for several days, buy the multi-day waterbus (ACTV) pass. Our room was not in the main building, it was in annex and did not have the Wireless access so had to go to the main building; ads did not say there was a 5 euro per hour charge for internet time either. Did not like the only window in room opening onto the main street like a door! Not even a screen so leaving it open would allow someone to slip in in the middle of the night. No instructions on how to turn on A/C. Bathroom was cramped. Murano was easily covered in a day trip - the streets roll up at 1800. Most restaurants close at 8 pm. If you want peace and quiet and solitude, all the time, this was the place. If I had it to do over, I would do one night on Murano, and the rest on the main island.
