Breakfast needs work, especially the coffee, which was so weak as to make us wonder if we were actually in Italy. Compared to the rest of our experience at this hotel; however, this was a minor point. The rooms and staff are wonderful. The building was described to us as an 11th-13th century palazzo, which has been tastefully renovated. Rooms are large. Ours had a view of a small courtyard, so was quiet. The hotel is located in easy distance of good restaurants and little shops, as well as main attractions of Venice. We would not hesitate to go back, and would not bother looking for any other hotel if we do go back.

We booked two rooms as we travelled with another couple - both rooms were excellent with en suite facilities although only one had a bath. Rooms spacious and comfortable with tv and refrigerator (no radio). Room overlooking square fantastic second room had no view at all (brick wall). All rooms on upper floors with stair lift to first floor only. Continental breakfast was substantial and the staff very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend Palazzo Vitturi to anyone.

The two main positive points of this hotel (I would rather call it a bed & breakfast) are 1) the perfect location (close to Saint-Marc's plaza and the quiet & nice square the hotel is located on); and 2) the very spacious rooms (esp. for Venice). Breakfast could be better (monotoneous, poor breads, pretty uncosy breakfast room) and hotel personnel does not seem very proactive & client-oriented (although no complaints!), except for the manager, who was so kind to inform us that there was a strike of public transportation in Venice on the day of our departure and who told us how we could get to the airport. Conclusion: if you are not looking for a hotel with very cosy public areas (lobby, bar) and lots of interaction with other hotel guests, Palazzo Viturri is the perfect place to be! We would certainly return to this hotel.

Wonderful hotel with charm and character and very helpful staff. We stayed in two different rooms on either end of a trip that included Venice and Rome. We were a triple with my husband and mother in law. The front suite was perfect with great views over the square and plenty of room. Quiet central location. Easy to find with advice from other visitors as the hotel has no sign. Great resturants just around the corner. Stair lift was very helpful for mother in law after a day spent walking through Venice and Murano.

our only complaint was that there was no internet available either in teh room or the hotel. and, as we were their for business at teh biennale, this made our work more difficult. the manager and staff were courtious, engaging and delightful in making our stay excellent

We loved our stay, our room was really good over-looking a small courtyard which was above a side street, its good to remember that noise echos in Venetian streets and courtyards – its part of the culture – as is the small breakfast which, other than a coffee, I popped out to the local fruit vendor and bought some giant fresh figs. Venetians have their breakfast on the go. There is a balcony from the central breakfast area which overlooks the Piazza Santa Maria Formosa, from here we watched the gondolas, the stall vendors, the trattorias, the tourists, the locals. We stayed 48 hours and took away some very good memoires.
