We visited Venice with the children aged 10 and 13. The hotels location was excellent next to the Rialto bridge. Staff were very helpful and informative, their recommendation for dinner proved costly and one I would not repeat!! The family room we had was comfortable although the walls proved to be thin!! Breakfast was buffet style providing hot and cold food, their was more than ample for all tastes.

The hotel was very nice and we were helped with our luggage at every occassion. Great and best Breakfast we'd had on our trip was included in price and free taxi and tour of glass factory was nice addition. Helpful staff. Only complaints were-room was not very updated, was spacious and clean but on first floor facing alley with a sealed off door out. Someone in alley tried to kick door in several times around 2:00 a.m. so was a hard to sleep after that. They left when the light went on. Staff didn't/couldn't do much about it. Think it was a fluke thing. Area seemed safe when we were out earlier. Otherwise, the location was the best and so easy to find. Right next to Realto Bridge, and Grand Canal as well as some wonderful restaurants on the canal right outside our front door, shops and every kind of transportation. 82 stopped across from us, Gondola ride was highlight of trip. Walking distance to San Marcos and most attractions. Suggest spending the evening at the square and enjoy the dualling orchestras after your gondola ride. Venice was our favorite stop in all of Europe and this hotel helped it to happen. PS. Park at Tronchetto parking garage. Easiest and cheapest and quickest way to get into Venice.

Location is excellent - 6 euros by vaporetto (number 82 from the train station) and it stops just on the other side of the rialto bridge. Not all vaporetti go as far as San Marco so that is an advantage of staying here. The staff are also extremely helpful and selection offered at breakfast time was excellent. My room had quite a bit of internal noise from other guests coming up the stairs and also sound carrying through the walls from other rooms - but it was right next to the staircase so other rooms may not be like that. The room did smell a bit smokey but probably my own fault for not asking for non smoking room. Bathroom facilities were very good and clean also. Price did seem a little high for what you get but that is probably mainly a reflection of venice.

A lovely comfortable hotel, right in the heart of things. Noisy early morning, things get off to an early start (6/7 am) - great breakfast though. A little disappointed no view even in a "superior" room but delightful never the less. Only real problem - NO DECENT MIRROR apart from in bathroom which my daughter and I fought over!!!

Pretty old hotel. No elevators and bags to the room from the water taxi is pretty intersting to say the least. The entire hotel needs a facelift.

We choose a hotel easy to find and we must say that you can't miss is - so close to Rialto Bridge and public transportation. Perfect located as jumping-off point for every excursion we made. Hotel staff extremely nice, helpful and polite (including free taxi boat to Murano). Breakfast was very good and served in a nice room. All things considered, our very best recommendation for hotel. Our next stay in Venezia will also be at Marconi.

My daughter and I stayed at the Marconi after being on a cruise. We were delighted with the reception we received from Carlos and Stephanos, very helpful and informative. The location was perfect with restraunts, (expensive and reasonable)shopping and vaparetto outside the door. I would definately stay there again. Remember, Venice is expensive.

We went in MARCONI during our wedding, we were married at the city hall in front of the hotel, just the Rialto to pass through. Staff was wonderfull especially Frederico who offered us champagne for the event.Ask them about restaurant around and all you want to visit! Really Highly recommended hotel. A special mark for the house keeper and breakfast waiter in same time. Thank to all.
