Newly renovated hotel which was spotless with friendly and helpful staff. The location could not have been better- 3 minutes from St Marks square and 2 minutes from Rialto brige - away from the noise of the Grand Canal. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

Immaculately clean, helpful & great location. Would recommend. From Venice bus station we took water taxi to the hotel because it was late & Vaporetto would have taken longer (we didn't want the hassle (cost about £30 but worth it)). The rest of the trip, we used the water buss (Vaporetto) to get around (although you will do a lot of walking). You can buy a 72h pass @ the airport. You can have a nice trip on the 41 & 42 (from memory) around the islands - will take about 3h Don’t pay for upgraded room, there doesn't appear to be any difference (we were upgraded as the first room was wrong). The ONLY negative was that the air conditioning in either room did not work. The hotel offers a free trip to Murano. - Don't bother; they just want you to buy something in the glass shop there. Just get on a Vaporetto to Murano & walk around yourself. Don't rely on Credit cards, take CASH! (You can knock them down on price). Stick to the Trattorias or expect to pay a lot for food.

Very well, centrally located hotel, bit harder to find for Venezia firsttimers - follow precisely their advice on their official homepage. We especially liked total quietness of our room which overlooked to small backyard (no view but we didn't request it). Staff very friendly.

We stayed 3 nights at the Bella Venezia and had been to Venice some times before. Venice is an incredibly beautiful city and well worth a visit. The hotel is modern and does not show signs of the period it was built in. We booked a Superior Room. The design and style of the room was true Venician. The view was disapponted and we never looked out the window. In truth a view limited number of rooms at the back of the hotel do this. The rooms at the front look over the busy small street the hotel sits on. We were disappointed with the bed, which was 2 single mattresses put together on wheels. You can imagine that on a romantic getaway this can especially be a problem. The cleaning staff were great. The location is great. The breakfast included was a bit disappointing, not up to the standard that I was used to from a fine hotel. All and all, for the money, I would not recommend this hotel. There is much better value in hotels to be had in Venice at the 4 star level.

this was a briliant hotellocated betwen realto bridge and st marks square, nice and quiet, staf were friendly buffet breakfast was nice had both hot and cold fods

Whilst the hotel rooms were quiet small they were still immaculately kept with a nice decor and fabulous marble floor. The location of the hotel just could not be any better and the staff were very helpful and kind throughout the stay. If i ever go back to Venice the Bella Venezian wiould definitely be getting a call from me again..

We had a short yet great stay at Bella Venezia. I have been in the hospitality business for many years and I was impressed with their service. They had a positive answer for every one of our requests. The hotel amenities are at an American level with an Italian touch. I loved having breakfast overlooking the canal seeing the gondolas cruising by ready start another day. Venice was beautiful and the hotel made it even better. It's also very well located, close to the vaporetto stop. Recommend: asking for directions before you go-it's easy to get lost.

Although we got the hotel earlier, at around 1p.m., they took us to a room quickly. We were tired from almost 4 hours of train ride, it was a happy welcome. Also, they prepared a bottle of champagne because I've written to them in advance that we were visiting Venice on honeymoon. We had no complaint on the room. It was spacious and clean. Better than the photos. Only one thing, it might be my misunderstanding, but I've expected the room with a canal view as a "double deluxe".

We stayed for five days in Bella Venezia and were quite content with the rooms with accelerator and climatization, the breakfast and the bar. The rooms were different, on was very big an comfortable, the other one was a little smaller but also very good.

My mother and I had a wonderful time in Venice and at the Hotel Bella Venezia. Lovely interior spaces. Less than desirable room view. Perfect for couples. A suggestion: provide a list of restaurants and menus in the area.
