Booked here as it was really cheap and in a great location, it didn't dissapoint, great location for wandering around, along with a nice clean basic room, with a good continental breakfast. We have a room overlooking the street, which had a market which started relatively early, but it never woke us up! There is also a lovely ice-cream shop just opposite. I would definetly reccomend Arcadia to other people looking for a nice, friendly clean base for exploring Venice.

The hotel is in perfect location close to everything, in the very center. I was staying at the back room so did not hear the noise from the street, however the walls were paperthin and I could hear all the other guests. So not good rest. There is also no air conditioner which in summer heat would have been very welcome. No fridge, even small in the room but guests are allowed to use common fridge of the kitchen. This being said one evening we were not allowed to put there some fruits claiming that the fridge was full.

Perfect location near the station however that meant it was slightly noisy with the restaurants at night and then the fruit stalls being set up in the early hours of the morning. There was an interesting aroma coming up through the sewers, but apparently that is Venice not really the hotel!! Breakfast was good and certainly great value considering accomodation is expensive in Venice

nice and quiet hotel in the city centre of venice. very charming breakfast room. clean room, friendly staff. reception open 24/24hrs, possibility to leave luggage after check-out.

Watch out for the mosquitos. Do not open the window unless you like them in your room. Very good location, 10 minutes walk down one street from the main St. Lucia station.

Typical small budget hotel at an old building in Venice. Can't expect too much on the facilities and building cleanliness. Location is good indeed.

It was a very easy walk to the vaporetto stop and approximately 20 minute ride to Piazza di San Marco and the Duomo. The hotel does not have an elevator and you need to bring your suitcases up the stairs to check in. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast area was very charming and nicely furnished.

A 5 cuadras de la estación de tren y rodeado de negocios, en un lugar con mucha vida. No tiene lujos pero está bien. El desayuno muy bueno, nos dejó más que satisfechos. Por precio y ubicación es RECOMENDABLE.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, very good money value and the service was very friendly.Wouldn't stay for more than a couple of nights though the hotel is very modest and good only for a short stay!

We had a nice stay at the hotel. It's on the main street of Venice and just a few minute walk from the railway station. The hotel was converted from an old charming house. Its facilities, especially the bathroom is excellent compared with other hotels in Venice . Breakfast was ok. The only complaint is no air-con inside the room, which is not very nice in summer.

I wasn't impressed at all with this hotel. It was extremely basic accomodation. the ensuite in room 55 where we stayed was small and tatty. The room was situated close to reception which was very noisey, the couple we went with asked for a room change due to this and also because their ensuite was so poor and the room was more like a cell because the window was at the end of a narrow corridor. Breakfast was the usual continental but with very little choice, buckets in the dining area were placed to catch rain leaking from the ceiling and dead on 10am the breakfast was covered up and chairs put up on tables around you whilst still dining. no milk jugs for tea, just the large jug placed on the main buffet table for cereals. Although the people on reception were quite pleasant we were not happy at at about the poor quality of the accoumodation. On a positive note, our firends were moved to a better room (63) without problem, the bedding, towels etc were clean.

We stayed for 2 nights in June 2007. We found the weekend staff was moody and unhelpful. The floor & carpet were dirty and there was no A/C nor TV in the room. Arcadia's website is misleading ~ no discount at Il Gazebo Restaurant, and no free water taxi to Murano Island. The location was great and breakfast was as expected for a cold buffet.
