We rented a room for Feb. 16, 2007, in this hotel because of its alleged proximity to the Venice we, tourists, want to see. Although the Hotel is not that far (about 15 minutes walk to the Mestre Venice Station), you still have to take the train to go to the next station, Santa Lucia, which is the one located in the Venice we tourists want to see. Had I known, I would have reserved a hotel in Santa Lucia Termini to save me from the walking in a place I'm not interested, and wait for the trains. The hotel crew was not helpful at all- no one showed us to our room, and we had to carry our luggage although there were no elevators available. A taxi charged us $10.91 Euros for a five minute ride (from Mestre to the Hotel)- although the meter said $5.95. The crew's English is very limited as well as their Spanish. The room was small but clean. The breakfast was blah- cafe americano, cereal, and not fresh bread.

Good location for visiting Venice at reasonable price; convenient access to Venice by public buses (the bus stop located in front of hotel, 20-25 min. ride to Venice). Guest from Montreal.

Breakfast was provided as is the case with most hotels in Europe, however, if was very poor. Everytime we went out of the hotel we had to hand in our room key which did not give us the impression that the hotel was very secure. Furthermore there was a safe in the room, although it did not work!
