We were very disappointed with this hotel, there is a hospital a block down the road and sirens go all night. Bedding was very poor and lumpy pillows. The hallways are so dimly lit, that I felt very uncomfortable returning there at night. It really needs a revamp!! They are opening a new restaurant next week that looked good.

I WAS ADVISED MY BOOKING WAS FOR A STANDARD ROOM WITH BREAKFAST. PLAZA 500 HOTEL ADVISED ME YOU HAD NOT BOOKED A ROOM WITH BREAKFAST. I HAD TO PAY EXTRA. THE HOTEL SITUATION WAS VERY GOOD.

Not a bad location, about 45minute walk to town or good bus system available. close to resturants, as hotel doesn't have a coffee shop available. disappointed at the pricing when we were already staying at the hotel and wanted to extend our stay and didn't have internet access. We felt a better deal should be available across the counter.

I expected more for the location and pricing of the hotel. I would say that atleast the lobby and staff were up to par of the rating; but the room failed. Overall the stay was comfortable and noise levels in the rooms were minimum. I would stay again if the rate was lower.

The hotel is not located downtown but access to public transport is available to get there. The room was spacious and facilities were adequate. The only other facility missed was free internet access for guests without a computer but nonetheless I would recommend this hotel to others.

On weekdays there is a lot of traffic noise from Cambie Street which limits your ability to open the windows. The air conditioning is effective but that creates its own noise.

We really enjoyed the shuttle to the marine passenger terminal. We had a good driver who pointed out the sights on the way.

Excellent hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Vancouver and we cannot wait to visit again. Staff in hotel were excellent, from chambermaids to front desk staff, but I must make a special remark in reference to Bill (barman), he is very much up to date in local area and on things to do/see. A great joy to chat to him in evenings. Cheers.

The lounge staff was excellent as was the desk staff. The hotel room carpet was stained, the carpet into the washroom was frayed, one lamp did not work. While it was OK, the level of the hotel is definitely down from the last time I stayed there, approximately a year ago. The restaurant only served breakfast. For the price, there were comparable hotels closer to town for a much lower price. Not sure if I would stay here again.
