Formerly a 19th-century palace, the Petit Palace Bristol welcomes guests in an elegant and contemporary atmosphere offering a variety of services and facilities designed to meet the needs of both business travellers and tourists. The building's original façade has been carefully preserved, whereas the interior was considerably modernized during a complete renovation in September 2003.

Location was the big attraction for us, the hotel being near to the historic Plaza de Reina. Staff were friendly,rooms were well serviced and quiet.Would have been useful to have more leaflets about local attractions. Access to internet was a bonus. Maybe it's a British thing but coffee/tea-making facility in the room would be appreciated.

We had to wait until 14h30 to check in (the site said 12h), and the people at the desk didn't even apologize. The room was on the street, in front of a club, and was very noisy at night. But the location was excellent and the room very nice and spacious.

Almost impossible to find with all the one-way narrow streets. Hotel staff were not helpful about finding parking or other major locations in town such as airport. Lost in the city 3 1/2 hours trying to find airport and then get back from it. Hotel staff gave me a map and said it was a 20-minute drive. Map very unhelpful. Room clean but very small.

Besides of the excellent and central position of the hotel, the hotel itself was not convincing. The room was poorly cleaned, the lift only worked with problems, the special announced hydrosomething shower was defect and we waited hours before rooms were ready. One main annoyance of the room was the glass door of the bathroom, where you could see everything and have a clear look to the toilet!
