Service was generally excellent. The only thing to let it down was the obvious lack of investment in their broadband lines - connection speeds were at times painfully slow: as slow as dial-up. And when you''re paying AUSD22 for 24 hours that is a rip-off.

Very pleasant staff in all areas we spoke to. The room was nice if a little small. While I realise there is a premium on New Years Eve, it would have been nice to receive a little 'extra' that night as recognition of tripling of price.....

Hotel is very conveniently located if you are arriving or departing by rail (two minute walk) and is also close to UTS and Darling Harbour. Rooms and facilities are as one would expect, the bar though does have boutique beer on tap. My room, which faced a side street, was very quiet. They give Qantas Frequent Flyer points. My only really negative comment is that the drink machine on the floor had only Scotch pre-mixed with lolly water. Imagine mixing your Johnny Walker with Coke, like some chav with a belly button stud! I don't think so. They could lift their game in that department. Otherwise, quite okay.

Counter staff could be friendlier . Didnt get the warm feeling during our encounter. Some smiled more than others but overall, staff seemed not to enjoy their work. When asked for the easiest way to get to star city, the reply from one of the staff was... you can ask the concierge, or you could walk there! I felt like telling her to walk home!

The hotel itself was good but a bit far from Sydney Harbour.. Darling harbour is close though so it's not too bad. The part of the city where the hotel is located is very Asian so this isn't a bad choise if you like Asian food, the restaurants are good and cheap! A microwave oven or stove in the room would have been nice. Thanks for the kettle though!

Excellent service by the concierge people and front desk. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and will personally use this hotel when we come back to sydney (hopefully soon). Excellent location and delightful room furnishings hope the hotel can provide free breakfast (even if continental breakfast only) with the online booking rate. Tried to leave tip for the cleaning lady on the first day but this was ignored.
