The hotel was described as modern & few minutes to the beach - yet the room was 80's design with bright red & blue decor (awful), definetly not modern and the sea was not accessable unless you like abseiling. Cascais was a 30 minute walk from the hotel and the 'fitness centre' consisted of a running & cycle machine (no gym). Definetly not a 4 star property.

Reception Staff could have been more helpfull. Pool was nice, with a choice of indoor and outdoor swimmingpools.

Would recommend a seaview room if possible. Very clean and spacious room and the small kitchenette, (fridge, two rings, sink, crockery, pans etc) was very useful for snacks, drinks etc. Good buffet style breakfast. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

There was only one thing we were dissapointed in that was although we had booked a triple room for 3 adults we were informed when checking in that all rooms were double and that the third bed could be supplied, however this was either a bed settee or a camp bed, not very comfortable for an adult. I think this should be mentioned in advertising. Otherwise the friendly and helpful staff and very good food made our stay most enjoyable. We would definitely go back.

Good trip, hotel on the outskirts of Cascais. Taxis in Portugal are dirt cheap so not an issue. Supermarket and a number of restaurants close by, and dont forget to try the custard tarts!

There is a fully equipped kitchen in each room so you can make your own food. There's a supermatket just outside the hotel.

We had a Garden View Suite for 4 people - stayed there in October. Only 2 chairs ? Only 2 chairs and 1 table on balcony ? 2 forks only in kitchenette. Plumbing under sink bad - water all over floor. Things were fixed (except plumbing) when reported. Courtesy van to and from Cascais worked usually. So all in all we had a pleasant stay. Things were dealt with - with usual Portuguese politiness. We were all pleased with stay - kids loved the indoor pool. I would go back any time.

The hotel's food and service were excellent. The hotel was refurbished in April 2003, and so everything was new and clean during our stay. The hotel is on the outskirts of Cascais with a good 30 minute coastal walk into town/or alternatively you can hop onto the hotel bus which goes into town on an hourly basis up until 6 o'clock or pay €4 for a taxi.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. As we lived i this area of Portugal 1971 -1974, it was very much a walk down memory lane for us and we were very pleased to find Cascais very much the way we remebered it.(with the expection of prices of course). The hotel is located a bit away from the center and the bus service could be a bit more frequent, but on the other hand, we had lots of fresh air and sunshine and a very nice pool. We will be back!!

It would have been helpful to have details of the times for serving breakfast and restaurant opening times in the room. The information was available at reception. All staff very helpful. Enjoyed our stay there. Ideally located for using public transport

Superb, well located hotel with good facilities and friendly staff. Sea view rooms have superb views and have been refurbished this season. great place to stay with children as all rooms have cooking facilities, crockery and utensils as well as a fridge.
