Overpriced for the quality of service. Location is good if having a car. Bfast poor, waiters were not interested in their job. Bathroom clean but not redecorated nice, leaking shower....

Great service, nice rooms, free Internet access. What the hotel lacks in location (2 kilometers from town) it makes up with a free shuttle service (book the day before). The hotel had turned off all heating and the rooms were a bit cold in early October.

disappointed to realise the hotel was outside town but the shuttle service was very useful and it didn't take long to get into town. hotel was very nice for the price, very good breakfast. some of the staff were very pleasant but one of the people on reception was very unhelpful.

We walked the mile or so into Siena, but I'm not sure that many others would want to cross the four lane road and walk up the steep hill with very little room for pedestrians. If the hotel provided a shuttle, we didn't hear about it. Our room was at the front of the hotel and the view across the street to what I think was an olive grove was lovely.

From the www site I thought that the Siena town centre was literally across the road, in fact we needed to get a taxi and the ride took about 20mins

The photos on the website bear no resemblance to the hotel at all. As the name would suggest it to be an old refurbished Palace as alot of hotels in italy are I was very disappointed to find a hotel that was nothing better than a Holiday inn or and Ibis hotel type. The hotel was fine for our purposes but it was for a very special weekend and it simply did not meet our expectations at all. There is no way that this hotel should have a four star rating. At most three! I realise that in Italy hotels are not rated nationally but provincially. Also it should also be noted that this hotels is not in Piazza dell Campo as the website says but is 1.5km walk from there.

Good short term accomodation, food is lovely, menu changes every night. However you need your own transport for this hotel, the bus goes out during breakfast and leaves you out until dinner time.
