I have stayed 2 nights at the hotel and I experienced the following trouble. At the begining it was difficult to locate the hotel since the name Silken was not incorporated yet to the hotel and road signs. When I found the hotel, I was directed to the hotel car park without being notified that I will have to pay 10Euros per day. There was plenty of parking spaces on the street for nothing. Communication was not a problem since staff were speaking good english. After complaining at check out, I suggested to forget the issue if I get a day free of parking, but the receptionist was not willing to negotiate. I said that is fine but i will post a complain to the www.tripadvisor.com website if no compesation was given. It looks that i will be doing that from next week. The only person who impress me was the lady at the breakfast service. Very good with people and speedy service.

Very nice hotel and very good value for money. The facilities are excellent and the rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The hotel is not situated very close to the city centre but not too far away - taxis are cheap and the buses are quite regular also. I also highly recommend the breakfast.

The Silken Al-Andalus Palace is a beautiful big hotel with a lovely swimming pool. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are huge and you just help yourself to anything you wish. Rooms very large, we had a room with balcony overlooking pool, lots of toiletries and replaced each day. Although not in the centre, the No. 34 bus stops just around the corner and for 1 euro it will take you into the centre (about 15 mins). Very frequent and reliable and it was nice to return to the quiet away from the hustle and bustle. At the moment Seville is undergoing major works in the city centre, although not a problem but if you are looking for a city centre hotel I would check where it is on a map first. Would certainly stay again at this hotel.

great hotel on the outskirts of seville. Easy to get to the town centre- a regular bus directly to the old town or a taxi for around 6 euros. Excellent value for money.

We stayed at tis hotel for 5 nights from the 22nd September 2007. an excellent hotel to stay in. yes it is a bit out of the way from the centre of seville but with a regular bus the No. 34 passing by the door this was not an inconvenience. we were able to spend the morning relaxing at the pool and the afternoon in the city centre . the Bus cost a euro and ran regularly up until at least midnight . a taxi only costs 7 euro. we would definitly stay here with no hesitation at all. the breakfast buffet is alsoa must.

Excellent hotel. Has a great pool, good restaurants at good prices. Excellent breakfast buffet. 10 minutes to heart of city on bus 34. (1 euro). bus from airport to city is 2 euros 40, then get the 34 bus as above to Heliopolis region, next to Betis stadium. Dont be put off by distance to centre, very easy access and its nice to retreat to the haven of the pool for a break. Can be used by conferences but doesn't really affect your stay as the hotel is huge.

A good hotel, very comfortable with many amenities. Bedrooms very nice with good array of toiletries in bathroom. Staff helpful and polite if not over friendly. Car park was essential to us - cost 9 euros for 24 hours. Hotel info. says it is 2km from centre. In fact, it's near 3 1/2. Taxi in front of hotel cost 5 euros including tip, or 6.50 later at night. To walk leisurely takes approx. 40 mins. from centre to hotel, but interesting buildings and parks on the way. Its location makes it easy to get to by car and you are not negotiating the centre of Seville. Would definitely stay there again.

For a person who had not tasted Spanish food their breakfast was very good. They had a small selection of spreads and the usual selection of continental and hot food. Their location is about 10 minutes drive from the city and is very easily accessible by bus 34. Buses are relatively cheap there and cost 1 euro each way if you buy the stored value ticket.

There were no internet connection available during my stay, and one time my trousers were also taken to laundry without my request. The breakfast is good, several meals to choose from, but the variety is the same every day. :( The location is not so bad, you don't have to chance buses to arrive to the city center. The furniture, facilities, bathroom is in good quality, and are clean. Pricing is also good for these. I would recommend it to anyone who is not a luxury traveller. :)

The value can't be beat - it's clean, safe, modern, the restaurants are very good. The staff spoke enough English for me and my broken Spanish to get by. It was a good choice for me.

Well positioned with good access to Sevilla Old Town (Taxis outside ) Helpful staff and a decent breakfast. Note that the outside swimming pool is not open from October to end of March.
