Fabulous hotel. you cannot get a better location than this AND the rooftop pool and terrace looks straight at the Cathedral. will definitely stay here again

The hotel's situation was excellent - in close proximity to the Cathedral. The bells did chime loudly at 9am but were silent throughout the night. The staff were helpful and very friendly. Enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Pleasant hotel, with excellent central location close to the cathedral in Sevilla, and with a rooftop bar and pool. My only suggestion would be to provide guests with directions - we were arriving by road and spent at least an hour going round in circles trying to get to the hotel car park - clear directions, a map or even suggestions about alternative parking would help. Otherwise - excellent - an excellent base from which to explore the historic, cultural and tapas delights of the city! Staff very polite and attentive.

Perfect location, right next door to the Cathedral, Giraldillo, and the Alcazar Palace. Rooms small, beautifully decorated, comfy beds with firm mattresses and lovely bathrooms. Staff very helpful and public rooms had nice comfy sofas. Wonderful rooftop terrace which had a view of the Cathedral and Giraldillo, with a bar and swimming pool! Good value for money. We would go there again.

Excellent location in the heart of the old town. If you need to be closer to the Cathedral you must sleep inside it.

some of the facilities were a bit dated i.e. hairdryer, bathroom but minor complaint really. Pool very small-didn't use because of this. Roof terrace bar excellent, great views and great to come back to after evening out. Nicer eating venues other end of Serpies St

The Hotel's location is excellent and the roof terrace bar is excellent. The hotel is in the old part of town and is therefore not modern and the interior reflects this although it was more than adequate. We did see one Cockroach ! But they are common in the old part of the city and so difficult keep out of all the premises. It was quickly dealt with by the staff.

Probably impossible to beat the location, the roof pool is great, the only criticism is the rather dour (Scottish word for unenthusiastic, dull, dreary, etc) staff - although they are efficient.

A very good hotel base for visitors to Seville but car users will have a difficulty. The hotel can only be approached by a single (one-way) street which is very difficult to find amidst the maze of narrow streets and alleys of old town Seville. Once you make it, the hotel is a delightful traditional Spanish building, comfortable and with friendly staff. Good buffet breakfast.

I cannot recommend this hotel. It is listed as a 4 star but I have stayed in better 2 star hotels. Our room did not have air conditioning during our stay in Feb '07, even though air conditioning was listed as a facility when we booked the room. The weather was beautiful outside,however, our room was unbearably hot. When we asked staff about the air con, we were told that hotel policy was that it was not switched on at that time of year. Eventually, after complaining twice, we were given a fan for the room. We booked a double room with a cot but on arrival we were given a twin room with no cot. When the cot arrived, it was broken on one side and the base was tied to the cot frame with wire!! The best thing I can say about the hotel is it is in an excellent location.

The location is unbeatable and the rooftop bar, even in Winter, was a great place to be. I gather some have complained about the noise of the bells. This adds something to the charm of the place in my view, though for the concerned, ask for a second floor room (if streetside) or internal, courtyard room. They''re quieter. We didn''t try the breakfast in the end, but there''s a great little cafe for breakfast just to the left upon exiting the Dona Maria and around the corner.

Staff are pleasant and helpful, atmosphere warm. Pool area could do with parasols for shade. Room not too comfortable, not turned down in evening, bed covers very heavy, consequent effort to remove at night. Bathroom adequate. plentiful hot water and good pressure. towels good quality but changed once daily. Air condition works well. Breakfast adequate. Rating should be 3 star plus at most.
