I knew I was going to have a problem with this hotel from the moment I parked the car in the lot. There appeared to be a woman working the streets right outside the hotel. Then I'm not allowed to check in at the time I had requested (noon) because they don't allow early check-ins. Once I got into the room I noticed that the toilet paper holder was held onto the bathroom counter with duct tape, there was no bulb in the lamp on the table, there was no screen on the window, & there was only 1 functional electric outlet. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed. For $225 I expected more. I'll definitely stay elsewhere next time.

Despite the name, it appears to be very basic motel accommodation and not up to the usual standard for Hotelclub - but it is the only reasonably-priced one in the Santa Barbara list and OK for one night.
