Two further comments: We were stuck in the lift for 20 minutes until we were rescued by the bar man. There was noone there from management when we got out to check that we were okay. There was no apology from anyone in the hotel. My other comment relates to the transport to the airport. On arrival at Linate we got a taxi direct to the hotel at a cost of €11. We asked the hotel to book a taxi to take us to the airport for our trip home and we were charged €30. We consider this a complete rip off. While we did expect to pay a couple of Euros more as the hotel called the taxi, we were annoyed that we were charged so much. If we had any idea that the taxi would cost so much we could easily have picked up a taxi on the street. At the least I consider that the hotel should have given us some idea of the exhorbitant charge by the taxi company. I don't know if the hotel was getting commission on the taxi fare.

The hotel rooms were tastefully furnished but quite small. The hotel is in a quite area and still very close to local amenities. The Metro stop is very close and only 3 stops to Duomo. The breakfast was great. While there is a bar and room service at the hotel, room service finishes at 10pm, and the bar closes around the same time. The Bar is not really a proper bar but just a small counter. The bathrooms were particularly nice. Staff are friendly. All in all 4 the price u pay was a good hotel.

I went with my husband and parents for a short break to Milan - this hotel suited our needs excellently - it was clean, friendly and excellent for all major attractions in Milan - it was only a ten minute walk to Duomo Square which was ideal.

Good breakfast buffet Staff friendly and helpful and reliable A good 20-30 min walk to the duomo and shopping area Near metro (line 3) which goes direct to duomo, shopping Euro 90 in taxi to Malpensa
