Good sized rooms with sensible layout, nice size work desk, quiet at night, wireless internet good but extra $10 per day (reasonable price if you need it), close to Ferry building and good restaurants, cable car, Market St etc. Good value in a major city in my view. (Australian guest)

Main reason for choosing this hotel is that it's a 70s icon (featured in the climax of the 1977 Mel Brooks' film High Anxiety). It's also very accessible (cable cars, trams, buses, BART underground system). Only drawback was that many rooms are connecting so there can be a bit of noise from next door. Apart from that no problems.
