The hotel is well located near Union Square in downtown San Francisco. We caught the BART (train) from the airport to Powel St station and it was just a few blocks walk from there (we had minimal luggage). The staff were very helpful and friendly and our experience was we felt treated as people rather than just another party of tourists. The hotel is older but simply and cleverly furbished to give it a modern feel. We appreciated the little extras, particularly the free internet access. Would stay there again.

the staff are very courteous and helpful. Having a bountiful of great places to eat around the area makes this hotel ideal for a business traveler like me. the bed was absolutely comfortable.

Fabulous find! Excellent location - very central. Great value for money for San Francisco. Was great having free and easy internet access. David the concierge was very helpful and had a good sense of humour. Would highly recommend for location location location and great value for money.

The ridiculously high $30/day parking charge absolutely MUST be indicated as part of the hotel fee structure. It was huge turnoff to be surprised this way and would also have played a role in my deciding to rent a car.

Renovated a few years ago in a modernistic, techno, style. Good, spacious rooms, very clean, very comfortable. Excellent location near Union Square, with very good access to public transportion.
