The breakfast buffet is overwhelming! The business centre is small, but the internet line is fast. In general the staff at the reception was very helpful. However, they did direct me to the wrong place for an exhibition. During my stay the hotel changed its name and it is now called Azimut.

I'm neither enthusiastic or disappointed after my stay at Sovetskaya. If you want to stay near the center(Nevsky Prospect) it is a little bit far... If you have no problem travelling wit the metro though its' ok. The hotel writes in their folder that service is concidered an art at Sovetskaya, well.... Some of the staff is very helpful, others, well, let's call them zombies... The price is a bit high, but it's probably not easy to get this kind of room(business suite) at a lower price in St. Petersburg. All in all ok.

the mist unfriendly mean-spirited staff i have ever had the displeasure to meet.the old soviet system of security checks and petty bureaucracy with a cold smile is alive and well here at sovetskaya

I'm not fussy about my room usually, but it was dusty, and had water-stained walls, and chipping paint. For the price, I do not think it was a good deal.
