This is a great little hotel on a very quiet street. The area is a little dodgy in places but we felt quite safe walking around both day and night. Staff were great, spoke excellent english, very helpful, room was spacious, bathroom was spotless and large (possbily just done up with new tile etc). Breakfast was adequate , typical contintental fare, and there is an excellent little restaurant just across the street, which offers great food, is full of locals, and when we went they had a buffet type thing going for 7 euros, with several great dishes. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

The hotel was a decent value. We enjoyed the location in a working class section of Rome. It is fairly close to the train station and both metro lines.

The stay was excellent. Room was very clean, had a nice bathroom with a large terrace on the 3rd floor. The front desk staff were very helpful with directions to locations. Its only about a 10min walk to the Colosseum and Foro Romano. Very close to buses and T station. Lots of coffee bars for a quick espresso or capuccino. Although I would like to see more variety at breakfast maybe buffet style. There is a great little place a couple doors down that sells a great cup of capuccino and cornetti. If we decide to return to Italy we will stay here again without a doubt.

Hotels in Rome are expensive, Tirreno was fairly priced for the location. A quiet side street, but near to main bus routes and an easy walk to Forum area and other attractions. Room was comfortable, and had a pleasant private terrace. Most staff were very friendly and helpful. One nightman was rude to a friend meeting me at the hotel.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Marco was there to greet us upon check-in and was extremely helpful in helping us plan our Rome touring. We had fun conversations with him and other guests. The hotel is within walking distance to the Colosseum, Paletine and Capital hill area, Santa Maria Maggione and others. Marco directed us to a nice restaurant for our first night. We did a lot of walking in Rome, hit upon another great dinner place. Took a tour of the Vatican (which Marco booked for us), and were able to stay to explore St. Peter's square and Hadrian's Castle. Took bus back to Hotel (although we actually caught the wrong bus and had a bit of a walk). We took taxi one evening to Tivoli Fountain and Pantheon; great restaurant near Tivoli suggested by Marco. We loved Rome - architecture, art, sculpture, people. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

The Tirreno is well situated and only a 10 minute walk to the Colloseum, Termini Station and a couple of minutes to the nearest Metro line. The staff are freindly and helpful. Typical Italian breakfast was adequate and the Forchetta restaurant across the street offers an excellent menu with special prices for guests staying at the Tirreno (3 courses for 13 Euros). There's a friendly little pub, (The Black Falcon) across the street that does light snacks. The hotel has a sun terrace which was a great place to sit and have a drink/smoke. The shower needs care - water temperature varies - beware!!! Overall, the Tirreno was a great base for our 5 days in Rome.

Great service upon arrival. Very difficult to locate if you are arriving by auto.

The tirreno was a nice hotel close to the colosseum. We did recieve a warm welcome on arrival from the friendly receptionist. we were put up in a room with a terrace, the room was slightly small, but the bathroom was spacious, clean and well maintained. The breakfast served is also substantial (coffee, tea, croissants, cereals, juice etc). There was also no extra charge for the aircon, as mentioned on the website. we did pay 165 euros per night which was a little expensive (compared to singapore), but the prices in europe are high Overall we had a pleasant stay and will surely come back to this hotel

The stay was excellent. Rooms clean, good size, good bathroom, and with large terrace. The in-room safe did not work, and the airport transfer was more expensive than we have epxerienced from other places. However, these are small matters. The location was great - only a few minutes walk to the colloseum and forum. Also handy to the Termini station and both metro lines have stops nearby. Breakfasts good and staff helpful. Would certainly stay here again.

Walking instructions to get to the hotel were poor. The use of in-room safety box should be included in the room rate versus the additional charge of €1.50 per nite. Enjoyed the personal service given at the front desk and during breakfast. Graziee

A very good at a very good place. Only one bad punt: the breakfast. Don't take it at the hotel, go outside at a typical cafe

slightly off the beaten path but fairly central location...taxi's always knew where it was...walking distance to many main attractions.
