The Metropole is very well located 3-4 blocks from the Termini train station (easy walk) and is ideal if you are travelling by train. Although not close to the sites/shopping getting around by metro, using a metro day pass (3Euro)is very easy and quick. The metro is located near the train station. The various tour companies offering day trips/tours are located within walking distance, but they also do pick ups at the hotel. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and included scrambled eggs and the service excellent by all staff EXCEPT the front desk staff. The front desk staff was the least polite, hospitalble, approachable or helpful we have ever encountered on business or leisure travel. The exception would be for the very helpful and kind young man who checked us out at 5am on Sept 23, 2007.

The hotel is excellent considering the price I paid for. Room was immaculately clean, beautiful and excessively equipped with amenities. The location in the Termini area, although not as up-market as the hotel itself, was convenient which made my stay pleasant and very comfortable. It is highly recommended for its high qualitly standards and beautiful rooms.

We wanted a hotel that was close to the Railway and bus station in Rome, the Starhotel is certainly that be no more than a 5 minute walk. We stayed in Rome for 3 nights which gave us plenty of time to visit the major sights with our 8 year old daughter. More time would be needed to have a proper look around as there is just so much to see in this lovely city.

This hotel had excellent accomodations and was conveniently located near the termini railway station. The beds were extra comfortable. The hotel personnel were courteous and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent! I would stay here again without hesitation.

A pleasant surprise, this hotel is way better than the other 4 star hotel that I used in the same area of Rome. If you want a quality room at a reasonable price with easy access to transport, this is it.

Overall its a nice hotel within walking distance from the train station. However beware of the gypsies who awaits you nearby the hotel We were approached twice in 2 days.

I really enjoyed staying in this hotel for two days. I did not have any complaint about the room. It was very clean, modern, facilitated and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was in a wide variety and the taste was good enough. The hotel is located just three minutes from the Termini and I believe taht I could not have booked more convenient one. Highly recommended.
