Room was a good size for a double, though we had no hot water for the first 2 days and then when it was fixed it still took 10 minutes for the water to get warm.

The room was very small; the last time I stayed there the facilities were more spacious. However, I would stay there again due to the location. Would recommend, but ask for a bigger room.

Room was spacious and clean. Located very close to train station. Breakfast was disappointing though - burnt croissants every morning and worst coffee I had in Italy!

I have recently spent a few days in Rome, at the San Remo Hotel, with my wife. The location is absolutely excellent, just a couple of minutes from the Metro and Railway stations, close to the opera theatre, etc. It is very quiet, the breakfast buffet is quite good for an Italian 3-star hotel, the staff is friendly and efficient. If you are looking for a fairly priced dinner, the Wang Xiang Lou Chinese restaurant in nearby via del Viminale is very good, while a good and absolutely not expensive typical Roman restaurant in the centre is Ristorante S. Anna, in via di Sant'Anna, near Largo Argentina. On the basement level of Termini railway station you can find all possible cheap eats, and a 24-hour supermarket as well. If I go back to Rome, I'd definitely return to the San Remo.

The Hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of Termini Station. The room we had was small but clean and perfectly adequate considering one is out and about most of the time. Satff were helpful and polite. Breakfast was the same everyday and again basic but OK. No cooked food. Easy access to public transport but we walked to most of the sights quite happily.

The room was old, the bathroom fittings were falling apart, and I couldn't wait to check out of the hotel. Hotel in desperate need of renovation.

We are so happy that we stayed at this hotel. It is a convenient location for both transportation, metro or train, and in the heart of Rome for walking to sights. The front desk, the breakfast room staff and the other hotel staff were all friendly and helpful, whenever called upon. They know their businss and how to make you feel at home. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful stay at a reasonable cost in Rome.

.... first of all I'd like to thank all of u for ur help in finding a hotel in Rome for me. The only thing concerning hotel San Remo is, I was shocked, that the elevator did not function during all the time of my staying in Rome and all of guest had 2 carry their luggage by themselves. To the 5th or the 6th floor!!! I believe, there are a lot of elevator service firms in Rome and some of them were able to repair the elevator at San Remo. As for the rest it was a relative good hotel.

I was very impressed when I used this hotel last year but the room I had this time was very small, smelled and had no drawers. We also had to ask to have a light bulb replaced. Friends however had a much better room.

hotel was ideally situated for sights. Rooms were a good size and clean although the bath was not in very good condition with lots of scratches and chips. Breakfast was poor with little choice. Staff were not very welcoming although they will answer any questions you may have. A good value for money hotel providing you don't want to spend too much time in it.

Hotel San Remo was conveniently close to the main train station and metro stops. Very easy to get to the Coloseum, Forum, Spanish Steps, St. Peters. The hotel was quiet and clean, but the rooms were very small. Also, the windows were sealed shut so we could not get any fresh air. The air conditioner provided minimal comfort. The elevator was a great luxury and very welcome at the end of a long trip of lugging suitcases all over Italy.

We stayed in San Remo Hotel over the Easter period and found it to be a very charming hotel - the reception staff were very helpful and cleaners very friendly but the breakfast staff were quite rude! however would go back again the location was excellent.
