The hotel is excellent located, walking distance to the Vatican, near restaurants and public transportation. The inside not as clean as I expected, bathroom/shower room very small but very grateful for having one. They promised airconditioner and was not installed until 3 days later. Stayed in a double room with shower. Two women travelling.

I think San Pietro Rooms caters to college students to mid-30's people. The surrounding area is quite noisy, but the storm windows do keep the noise out pretty well when closed. The rooms aren't as spacious as most hotel rooms, but the shower pressure is amazing. And because it's located right in front of the metro stop, there seems to be a lot of people hanging around outside. But they do offer free breakfast in the morning along with coffee or juice. There is a little deli right next door, as well as right across the street from an ATM machine. The main bargain shopping street is a block away, which was great. And St. Peter's is maybe a 5 minute walk and that's if you walk slow and look into all the shops. We found out the last day that we could've had an outside key. It was kind of annoying having the ring the buzzer every time we came back and one time they didn't answer (probably in the bathroom) and we had to stand out there for a while. Overall, if you're looking for a place to drop off your stuff and head out to see the sights and just need a bed to sleep on and a really good shower, San Pietro Rooms is a great place to stay. The price for the location is a bargain by far!!

Excellent location, very good quality for the price. Service was informative and polite. I will certainly be looking to go back here when I return to Rome.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. It is indeed just steps from the metro stop and is close to the Vatican if you plan on spending significant time there. However, we found that the information provided on the website was very misleading, effectively claiming a sort of religious status based on its location, citing the “serious atmosphere”. The atmosphere was unremarkable and the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, despite us trying to be nice. Most importantly, it lacked the air conditioning its website information said that it had, a serious shortcoming in the summer months. The one feeble fan provided had no effect and the hotel management and staff were unable and unwilling to remedy the situation. We had booked four nights (through Venere.com, an excellent service, with this hotel being the only disappointment and the most expensive, among 7 hotels booked for our 4-week holiday) and after sweltering through one night, we found another better hotel for the same price through a fellow traveller. When we went back at noon to check out, the San Pietro staff insisted that we pay for all 4 nights despite staying only one night. It was only after extensive discussion that they backed down and we left after paying for the one night. The breakfast area was extremely cramped, served in a very small area in front of the reception desk. The food was acceptable but minimal. The service was grudging. The room was booked as a quad room, but was barely large enough to squeeze between the beds. The beds themselves were reasonably comfortable. Keys had to be left with at the front desk for the day, not uncommon in Italy. However, the staff lined up the keys on the desk for anyone to help themselves, and with the poor attitude of the staff they certainly did not seem to care who took them, rightful guest or not. In sum, this hotel might be acceptable if you are traveling as a single or couple in the cooler months, want to be clo

there was no air-condition an in the night the sound was unacceptably by open window. breakfest was ok. the employees are nice and helpfull. on 2 of 4 days was no electric power, so that the fan was no available. but the placement was very good, specialy for Vatican Visitors.

The rooms do not have air conditioning facility, although this was mentioned as possible ('on request') on at least one of the websites for San Pietro Rooms. Instead a fan is available but unfortunately does not offer the same level of comfort. This makes the quality/price ratio definitely less favourable. Upon opening of the windows (at night) there is a tremendous amount of traffic noise, as San Pietro Rooms is bordering large streets with intense traffic. There was some uncertainty to find San Pietro Rooms, as it is not a hotel with a separate building, but rather a set of rooms inside a large building. In particular the breakfast offered was poor, as was the breakfast room itself.
