This is an excellent location, near the Spanish Steps, the Hotel was very accomodating, a beautiful room, which was even better than the posted pictures. We were in Rome for 4 days at the end of a month long tour of Europe, this was a highlight stay of our entire holiday. Proximity and location were excellent, great airconditioning, beatiful balcony and overall a very great hotel, would definately stay here again.:)

I have been to Rome more than 20 times. This was my favorite location. The Piccolo Hotel has a very nice atmosphere - rooms are on the 4th floor of a normal building (with offices..), reception is just in a little corner. the rooms are named after Boticelli... and are very very nice, enough space and a beautiful balcony - with very typical italian view (a lot a flowered balconys). all in all very italian (positiv) atmosphere, friendly staff, best location (5 min piazza di spagna, 5 min trevi fontain, and in the middle for best fashion shopping! - for shure I will come back!

This place cost us euro 150 per night in December!! And what do we get? A dinky room with absolutely no space to move about; a room with paper thin walls, where we can hear the neighbors snoring; a poor bathroom and overall pathetic service!! I would highly recommend readers to consider other hotels; possibly away from the city. We took this hotel assuming it would be close to all the action. It is certainly close by to a few tourist spots, but given the quality of the public transportation in Rome, I think one can consider living at a hotel outside the city and save money AND get better service!! AVOID this hotel at all costs!! Not worth half the price they charge!!

The hotel is located perfect in the historic center of Rome. The rooms are nice and clean but small. We however had a nice balcony. The breakfast area is too small and often you have to wait for other guests to finish their breakfast to be seated.

This is NOT a 3 star hotel. We were welcomed by a dog-eared sign that said "Be Back Soon" at the so-called front desk - a chair with a laptop. The room was stuffy, but the A/C had been turned off for the season so we had to open windows, which exposed us to 100 decibel motorcycles and trucks. The mattress was horrible, so I got up to take a hot shower for my aching back... but only a dribble of semi-hot water came out, and only after 20 minutes of waiting. My son had NO hot water when he tried the shower later in the morning. We left this place in a hurry, and got stuck with having to pay for the second night due to the Venere booking - the hotel gave little concession to the fact that this was a miserable experience. I would never recommend this place due to the facilities and the attitude of the lady in charge.
