Excellent hotel, nicely furnished, staff very friendly & helpful .The rooms were large, all seem to have double beds and were well appointed and clean.The air conditioning was not noisy at all. Breakfast was exactly what you'd expect in a continental hotel, cereals, rolls, ham, cheese, choice of juice and very good coffee. The location was also great, we found we could walk everywhere. Pick up from airport was excellent as a first time visitor to Rome.I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Mariano again.

Great location, less than 5 mins from main train/metro/Bus termini. Only a few blocks from tourist office, St. Mary and St. Prasede. 20 minutes walk to Colosseum. Nice clean room, with excellent air con (it was 38 degrees celsius while we were there so that helped !!!) The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the area. We loved it!

I feel hot in Roma. I want an air-conditioner not portable type.In addition, an intermittent sound brought itself. Maybe it was chatter of an elevator. The front desk and the correspondence of breakfast were very comfortable.

The hotel was in a great location, close to the main train station termini. The hotel was in the back streets and we saw things which were a little dodgy but overall we weren't bothered. The bedroom is tiny and the bed was rock hard and uncomfortable. We thought the price was too high in comparison to other hotels we stayed at through Venere.

Very convenient to the Roma Termini train station. Very close to all transportation - you cannot underestimate the value of this feature! It is very convenient to Track 28 which is where the Leonardo Express train to/from Fiumicino is. The english-speaking staff is terrific, friendly and helpful. A good continental breakfast which, when considering Rome's prices, is a great deal and justifies the price of the hotel. The surroundings can be somewhat intimidating and seedy, but we had no problems. The neighborhood is filled with non-EU immigrants, many of whom from countries hostile to USA (as evidenced by the many anti-US graffiti). Highly recommended for convenience and staff friendliness.

once again, our hosts at the mariano made our stay a very pleasant one. i had also recommended this hotel to a couple of other friends, who were in rome for the first time and they were also made very welcome. what this place lacks in extra's, it more than makes up for in service.

Excellent hotel and very good location to access to many services and public transportation. Rated as a 3-star but I think for the quality offered it would be a 4 star in my country. Unexpensive prices : I have seen over the internet bed and breakfast with higher rates than this hotel. Highly recommended, thanks!!!
