This place was a dump!!! The rooms need paint and plaster. The beds were terrible, ours was about 6 to 8 inches lower on one side. There were wires showing along all the walls. Wallpaper was torn off in places. Their was a fairly large hole in the ceiling in the bathroom. There was no place in the shower to put soap and shampoo. The shower was too narrow to bend over and pick up the soap or shampoo off the floor. I stayed at this property about 5 years ago and it wasn't great but it is really bad now. After checking in we tried to find another property but nothing was available. The staff tried to help somewhat but they had nothing to work with. The only positives to report were good air conditioning and very quiet rooms with shutters and double windows closed. I will have no faith in Venere if this property is not taken off your site until major remodeling is completed. I realize Rome is expensive but 199 Euros for a dump!!!!! Shame on you and them!

We had rooms for 49 Euros which was a great price but we left the hotel with dozens of unpleasant bed bug bites and had to seek medical care. In addition, one of our own towels disappeared during the cleaning of the rooms. One of our rooms had two open holes in the ceiling, one had an electricity tubs hanging from the ceiling

The air conditioning in this hotel is a joke The first room we were given was well below standard Some of the staff were extremely rude and arrogant and unhelpful although the young man on reception and the young woman in the restaurant were helpful and polite I would not stay there again I would not recommend it It is well below 3 star rating

The greatest advantage of this hotel is its localization. The surroundings compensate the low quality of the hotel. It is possible know the most important attracions of Rome by walking from the hotel. I think that this is the reason of its high price.

The service was good and the hotel was great value for money. However our room smelt of drains and there was a long wire that hung across our bed, which was very unpleasant. There was a great restaurant around the corner with a waiter called Rocco, who gave amazing service and the food was absolutely brilliant!!!

This hotel was absolutely horrible. Starting with a welcome by a young employee in his jeans halfway his knees and a bored face. No professionality. Entering the room was a shock: - the carpet on the two steps comming in was loose - the toiletseat was broken and there was not an engineer or somobody else to repare on short term - the towels and the bedlinen were very dirty, problably not even washed!! - the entrance door (downstairs) was not functioning so we could not get out, a person on the street was asked to go inside the shop nextdoor to ask for a spare key !! We were absolutely astonished about this hotel for which we paid an amount asuming that we would have a nice comfortalbe hotel and above all a clean room. We knew this is not a 5-star hotel but this was way out of line. An hour after checking in we checked out and fortunately found a good hotel with friendly employees and comfortable clean rooms.

good location. Stayed here two nights. Maybe we just got a bad room, however Holes in walls and shower, small, very dirty,dusty, noisy, very small towel didn't add up to an enjoyable stay. Ended up coughing, sneezing when checking out due to the dust levels. There wasn't airconditioning (though this was advertised). The room was very unclean. For the price (140 euros per night)we felt it was very poor value.

the location was exellent,the room was spacious ,however we had some flooding problems with the shower...they took care of it and we were moved to a much nicer room..actually it was very nice...it was a good deal..i will go back

Many of the bad rewievs of previous visitors are correct!! But we found the personel nice and helpful. Some rooms are being refurbished, the standard of the rooms is very different, some rooms have bad or even dangerous electrical installations, one of the two rooms we had booked was not available so we had to share one room for 4 persons. But we accommodated and even extended our stay. Very good location and we stayed over Easter so it was difficult to find better options. Quite expensive but perhaps that's general in Rome.
