All was great. Directions to hotel should be-get to St Peters square-walk in the direction of the Tiber River-don't cross the bridge with all of the statues-take a right-go to the next bridge (don't cross the bridge) to the right you will see the bus stop (past the intersection with the tunnel)-walk to the bus stop-look for the hotel sign (about 15 ft up on the side of the building) go down the alley (first street past the bus stop) and you are there.

I found La Rovere to be a nice, standard, small European hotel in a convenient location. Nothing luxurious but clean and friendly and at the going rates for Rome. Staff was very friendly and spoke good English.

I think that the price offered and the room quality was not proportionated. In Switzerland for such a price you can have a better room.

Hotel La Rovere is a very nice hotel. It's tucked away in an alley that is a bit off the main path. It has lots of scooter traffic zipping by, but of course, it's in Rome near the Vatican -- that's to be expected. The staff was very friendly and spoke good English. One small downside was that we had to pay 10 Euro/day for air conditioning, but whatever. It was worth it in the heat of July! Overall a good experience. Recommended.

We had a wonderful visit to the La Rovere. This was our first trip to Italy and the accommodations were great. The staff was very helpful and made great efforts to communicate with us (we do not speak Italian). The rooms are a little small-but that's typical of Europe. The shower was extremely small (my husband is 6'6' so it was a show!) We were just glad to have one in our room! Breakfast isn't exciting, but we found that it was the same at all our stops in Italy-just part of a different culture. I would definately reccommend this property to others. In fact, that's how we found the place.

Hotel La Rovere is very close to Vatican (3 minutes walking) in a nice quiet area. The hotel is very nice, just for travellers. The breakfast is great. Each famous landmark of Rome could be reached by walking maximum 30 minutes.

The property interior was quite a contrast to the outside of the building, although take into consideration it is Rome you are in and all the buildings are old.Lovely bedrooms although there was no view from our window,however we were there to sightsee and didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel other than to change or sleep.5 to 10 mins walk to vatican,although other sights were a bit further.Would certainly book again.
