The Badge for our room (nr. 800) did not work all the 4 days we stayed and therefore an employee (all were very polite) had to open the door for us every time. Don't have a drink at the hotel bar, the prices are incedible, also at happy hours. But all in all, we enjoyed our stay an can absolutly recommand the hotel.

Overall we were pleased with this hotel. The location is great--walking distance to major attractions and close to subway. We were told not to expect much in terms of service from Italian hotels and this hotel certainly held true (worst service of the 5 we stayed in in Italy). For the money though it was above average.

Breakfast was definately not American, as described, rather, continental with the addition of underdone bacon and scrambled egg both of which were cold if you didn't get down for breakfast before 08.00.....otherwise spotlessly clean, everything worked (well the hotel IS only 2 years old!!) staff were helpful and you couldn't pick a better location for a city break in ROME (ideal for transport, food, shops....the hotel is on VIA NAZIONALE and leads directly downhill to VIA del CORSO which are the two best shopping streets and lead directly to most of the famous 'must-see' sights all within easy walking distance).

We couldn't fault this hotel for service, cleanliness, location and facilities. The hotel is within walking distance of all the major sights, for example - 10 minutes walk to Trevi fountain, 15 minutes to the Colosseum etc. Would definitely recommend La Griffe to anyone visiting Rome.

Excellent location-Walking distance to practically every site (except Vatican). Very close to metro. Clean rooms , not so spacious though. We took our 11-month-old baby with us and : i) they didn't give us a room with a bath-tub despite our early (1 month before) request. ii) they didn't have a kettle to boil water for the baby's meals and we had to ask for hot water twice daily at the kitchen or restaurant where the staff was not always polite and helpful. The breakfast is simply adequate but the breakfast room is very small so if the hotel is fully booked be prepared to wait (standing) for a table up to 20 mins or you can wake up at 7:00 am to find a free table. If you go by car they charge 30 euros per day at the nearby garage, but you can take your car at the train station garage not far from the hotel for only 12 euros per day. Overall I would recommend it but if you have small children remember to take every appliance needed with you because the hotel is not fully equiped.

The hotel was in general as I had expected. Didn't experience any inconvenience, the staff were helpfull, the room not too big but modern and clean, the bed so good and quite enough in spite of the noisy street. Considering the hotel prices in Rome I guess the hotel is of good value for money

The room we stayed in had no window! We were quite dissapointed since it was quite expensive.. Breakfast buffé was not anything special at all, down in a basement. The only positive thing was nice designed rooms and a rooftop veranda.

I loved everything about Hotel La Griffe and would definitely consider staying there again should I ever go back to Rome. My only disappointment was the lack of a fitness facility (except for those in the suites) and that I couldn't get a cup of coffee in the morning without having to pay the 20 EURO fee for breakfast. Overall, I was satisfied.

Excellent stay in a beautiful hotel. The only negative aspect is that the reception called us 5 minutes after check-out time. It seemed they wanted to kick us out!!

We found the location excellent for getting around Rome. It is very close to the termini station. It is also on useful bus routes (eg for getting to the Vatican) with a bus stop nearby on the road. The room was small but adequate.
