The pillows were like sleeping on bags of concrete. Be prepared to be charged an inflated for a hotel booked cab service, as it was obvious that the hotel staff has deals going on with cabs. We booked cabs to the same places at different times and the prices varied.

We had booked for the previous night at the Isa so we could access our room as soon as we arrived at about 10.00 am. They had no record of this but on seeing my receipt immediately gave us room we could use to shower and rest etc until our room was ready. It was ready within the hour and was a good size with a little balcony which made laundry easy! The rooftop breakfast terrace was outstanding as was the quality and range of food in the buffet style breakfast provided. Champagne for breakfast every morning was wonderful. A very friendly barrista who made excellent coffe and squeezed fresh orange juice on request. No frills or room service but it would be my first choice in Rome again. excellent position with views to the Vatican from the roof garden (through the arials!)

Excellent value for your money - each floor is a different design lending itself to a boutique feel. Roof top terrace is beautiful - wonderful breakfast. Staff is welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Great location - near St.Peter's; and subway. Good restaurants nearby; we will return on our next trip to Rome.

The hotel has lovely decor although renovations are not finished (could smell paint, etc.) The room was very small but nice and clean (not room in pictures). The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions, food recommendations, etc. As stated by others, the terrace breakfast was great and has a beautiful view. Just a short 10 minute walk to the Vatican and subway. Overall, the Isa is a nice hotel but a little over-priced.

Good hotel in nice location. Does not have a restaurant or bar but these can be found quite close. Breakfast at the hotel is marvellous - good choice of food and wonderful views from the roof terrace.

We found the location in the city to be very convenient and central (between the Vatican and the sites across the river). The staff were very friendly. In the morning of our stay, my sister in law, who stayed at a different hotel, came to find us; we were out taking a walk so the hotel staff took her to the rooftop terrance and provided her with a free breakfast while she waited. All around, a great stay.

Quiet area, not too far from center. Breakfast is wonderfull, quantity, quality and variety. Cleaness in the rooms quite good. Don't expect a luxury hotel, but quite nice.

Well appointed room for the class of hotel with big walk-in shower. Very clean with friendly English-speaking staff. Clean sheets every day. Excellent breakfast buffet. Same side of the tiber as the Vatican but not so convenient for the other sights. I would stay here again.

The Isa proved to be an excellent hotel, that my wife and I recommend with great pleasre. The room are not large, but excellently appointed, with a high standard of bespoke fittings. The bathroom also, was fairly small, but again, a lot of thought had been taken with the design, and it lacked nothing: the standard of finish was excellent - the Italians are masters at working in marble. But the highlight had to be the dining room. It is on the roof terrace, with views of the Vatican and Castel St Angelo, and is graciously appointed, like a rather sumptious marquee at a 'society' wedding, complete with flowers and plants that added to the ambience. And the choice and quality of the food was amazing - wine and chocolate gateaux for breakfast?!!
