Exceptionally outstanding service, including the fact that birthday cards were noticed in our room, sparkling white wine appeared before dinner, and a special dessert with (one!) candle alight, all 'on the house' was brought to our dinner table. The taxi ordered for our departure had not appeared within 2 minutes of the appointed hour, and an immediate phone call was made, on their initiative. The whole hotel is tastefully decorated in the continental style with a beautiful small garden. A very quiet location in a noisy city, but our room rather over-heated and beds rather hard.

fantastic hotel. Bright and clean and beautiful gardens. Well priced and easy to walk around Rome from this location. Very quiet....just beautiful.

The Villa San Pio is located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the coliseum. The breakfast and drink staff was excellent. However, the front desk staff was not very friendly, welcoming or accomodating.

This hotel is truly a beautiful Villa. We had 3 rooms and 2 of them had wonderful patios and beautiful views. We loved the continental breakfast and the dinners were excellent too. We would love to return to Italy just to stay at this hotel.

An excellent hotel for a very good price. The rooms are quite large and kept excellently clean. All the staff are friendly and do their utmost to help you. Villa San Pio's location is also excellent - very near the Circus Maximus and Collisseum, although it is a little difficult to find at first from the metro. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again.

My wife and I spent 3 nights here in Sept 07. It is a very quiet hotel in a romantic setting just outside the city centre. The upside of this is that we found it very peaceful to escape back here each evening after the hustle and bustle of the city centre, the downside is that there is not a huge choice of nightlife/restaurants nearby. However dinner in the hotel restaurant is not to be missed. The service, food & outdoor setting is fabulous. The hotel is about 5-10 mins walk to nearest underground station but if you are fit and happy to walk, then 30 mins will take you into the city centre. Highly recommended and we would certainly stay again.

We had three wonderful days/nights in Rome & really enjoyed our room, terrace,breakfast in the garden and the area where we were staying, so convenient to buses & trains, so quiet & safe feeling. We have recommended the hotel to many friends, the best hotel we have stayed in ever I think.

Quiet surroundings on a hill in the middle of Rome.Great breakfast buffet with sweet and savoury offerings.Friendly,helpful staff.Comfortable beds.Recommend this place highly.A peaceful oasis in the midst of honking cars and crush of tourists.

We enjoyed the fact that it was in a quiet neighborhood and we could sleep nights. Also, we liked the breakfast in the garden setting. It was only a 10 minute walk to the Colesseum and 5 minutes to the subway. The staff was very helpful in answering our questions and getting any cabs we needed. We plan to go back and will stay there again.
