A very nice hotel but further away from the city centre than the hotel blurb suggests - about a mile, all uphill when walking back to the hotel. Nearest MetRo stop is on Piazza Barberini about half a mile away. Some rooms are very small. The management tried to give us one of these when we arrived but we asked for a bigger room on the fifth floor (all rooms there have a small balcony) and they changed us next day. It pays to argue! This room was very pleasant. All in all, we'd recommend the hotel provided you're fit enough to walk or don't mind paying frequent taxi fares.

So close to the lovely Gardens Borghese. This is an above average hotel, in a nice area for a reasonable price. The staff are wonderfully warm and welcoming. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.

A really nice hotel located in a lovely position next to the Borghese Gardens and about 15 mins walk from the main sites. The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough to help

The location of the hotel is very good, not far from Spanish steps. It is very clean and basic and the staff are very nice. No real facilites there. The breakfast option was buffet and was very basic.

Hotel rooms are very elegant and clean. Food is OK. The hotel is little bit far from main tourist attractions (30 mins walk). I left some clothes in the hotel room. There was no record about them when calling the hotel after our arrival back home. But this can happen anywhere, so try not to forget anything.

Fantastic hotel, highly recommended. Staff great, room fantastic, breakfast was wonderful, we wished we had stayed longer. Quite close to metro for getting places. We just loved it. Choose this hotel.

It was nice to receive such a warm greeting when my family and I arrived at the Victoria hotel. The location was ideal in that it was near several shops, restaurants and about a 10 minute walk to the subway. There are many local restaurants to choose from within walking distance. The breakfast was very good which is a combination of American and European; i.e., eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals; meats, cheeses, and a variety of fruits and also included espresso, cappuccino and Caffe latte. Although a little pricey, It was worth the cost because of the location and the fantastic service.

Good location (edge of Villa Borghese), but district generally very expensive. Good value pizzeria close by. Service from hotel restaurant poor. Beware fruit selection (fruit bowl: EUR8!). 'Hot buffet breakfast' is just two items: eggs plus either bacon or sausage, alternate days. Reception generally very helpful. We stayed in early April and it was hot: nighttime temperature 15-20C. Despite this, they would not turn on the air conditioning, so nights were noisy (windows on both sides of hotel open to the street). Air conditioning will be turned on in May. They offer a car to the airport for EUR50. In our opinion not worth GBP170/night.
