Small room. The staff was courteous and helpful. Located near train station which is a seedy area. We were not comfortable walking the streets near the train station. There were unsavoury characters loitering on the streets at all hours.

Best part about Sweet Home is the location. 4 minutes walk to Termini makes for good transportation options. The room itself was so-so. The shutters were chained together, so we couldn't see out the window. There were no surface counters in the bathroom (neither over the sink or in the shower). How hard would it be to put those in there? No AC, so we slept with the window open. This wouldn't be so bad, but the hotel is over a restaurant, and our first night there was a very drunk (and noisy) band of American youths having a banquet or something, singing every song they didn't quite know. Cash up front, which is a little off-putting. Still, if the price were right, you might overlook the shortcomings. But we stayed at a much nicer place the first leg for about 25 Euros a night less, over by the Vatican. Maybe this is par for the course so close to Termini. If so, next time I'll sacrifice proximity for a nicer place, as the Metro, or a bus, can get you around Rome pretty quickly.

The location of this hotel is extremely convenient, between the station and Sta. Maria Magiore, with internet places all around. The only inconvenient thing was that the rooms were located in different sections and floors, and we sometimes needed to ask the staff to open the door from one to the other.

Great hotel to stay near Termini station for travel to/from airports and within short walking distance of good restaurants/minimarkets etc. It is in a lively area possibly too noisy for young children however we loved it. People watching from our window was great! The room was spacious and kept very clean each day. The Shower/toilet was clean and functional. No air con but a big fan on the cieling was enough. The staff were very friendly and helpfull and clearly look out for their guests. We would really recommend the Sweet Home for an affordable base to visit Rome and surrounding area.

Nice, clean room with good staff. Noise from common areas at odd times, just bring your ear plugs and you will be fine. Great location and nice staff that speak english and very helpful.
