Does not deserve the 3 stars that it claims. Room was not ready by early afternoon. Wallpaper is strapped. No table and no chair in the room. Very unquiet, but that's due to works going on. Only good point is the location.

overall I would reccomend this hotel. It is in a great location, staff were friendly and service was good. Rooms are clean and comfortable, not big but adequate. absolutely great location for sightseeing, so close to Forum, Colloseum etc. Room noise - when opening the window the road noise was very loud, but when closed it definately shut out the sounds. watch out for being allocated a room on the second floor. rooms 201-205 are accessed by exiting the hotel on the first floor through a fire escape type door, into a stairwell and part of the building which is under refurbishment, into another lift, then back through a fire escape type door to the second floor. perculiar arrangement. You felt like you were not in the hotel itself. one negative is breakfast is very basic. pictures of the breakfast room shows things like eggs etc. We only had a selection of rolls, sugary croissants, coffee and orange. Not much else on offer, but enough to get you started for the day. We paid 120 euro a night, so value for money and location was great, would stay here again as long as I had a first floor room!

Hotel Solis delivered everything to our expectations. The price is a bit high, but so are all hotels in Rome.. Situates close to metro stations, Coloseum / Forum and the rest of the city center just a couple of minutes away. The breakfeast could have been a little more colorful, but who needs a long and boring meal when a great city awaits outside? Can recommend this hotel to everyone!

Appreciated that they have WIFI, but it wouldn't transmit to the corner room we had. Corner room, on street side, was reasonably soundproofed, but still subject to street noise. Would have preferred non-street side room.

Good hotel at a very good site! But they didn't answer our questions! See below: We wrote on 9/10/06 : Dear sirs, We do not have any reaction on our request of 1 oktober 2006. That is a pitty, because it is essential to find our belongings fast. So we can afterwarts have more detailed contact over the question how we can get our closes back to the Netherlands. Great hotel, great bathroom!, perfect location. It is a bit pricey, but you could practically walk to anywhere from the location. There were plenty of cafes, internet cafes, and a metro nearby. Room was beautiful and the staff was extremely helpful.

The Solis was a nice stay in the heart of Rome. It is on a busy street and our room was a bit noisy at night. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the room was clean.

We were very disappointed with the Solis Invictis. The location was excellent - very close to the coloseum and forum, but the attitude of the staff was quite poor. Given that this was the first hotel that we stayed at in Italy, at a point when we were brimming with excitement, it was a very deflating experience. I have had multiple orthopedic surgical procedures in the past several years, and require additional pillows at night to sleep, and they were not even willing to provide an extra pillow. We would not return to this hotel again.

The employees were very helpful, courteous, and welcoming. Breakfast was good--only one suggestion, put yogurt in ice to keep fresh. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The picture advertised is the room you get. Very spacious bedroom and bath room. Ideal location. Staff very friendly. Will definately be returning.
