Don't accept room 414, it smelled of mold and and the a/c leaked into the room. The night manager didn't want to help when I requested another room. I also indicated that my girlfriend suffured from allergies triggered by mold but to no avail. The morning desk person was much more helpful. In general, the worst hotel of my trip to Italy. One desk person, I believe Marco, was extremely great and is the reason I rate the hotel as I as I did.

Good clean and reasonably spacious rooms - on a main road and walkable distance to main train station; close to attractions like Trevi Fountain and Colloseum

Very good value for money. Reception office is on first floor, employees were helpful. Room was spacious and clean, a/c worked very well (I was there in August). Continental breakfast in 5th floor breakfast room was nice: coffee/tea, pastries, cereal, milk, cold cuts and cheese(no fruit).

The Hotel is sited in a very good central location, on a busy street (Via Nazionale). It is small and like many city centre hotels in Europe it is slotted into an old building which it shares with some commercial offices. The reception is tiny with very little public space but the staff were all very helpful and friendly, spoke good English. Our room was facing the main road which was a typically noisy city street. If you are used to a quiet rural surroundings I would recommend that you ask for a room at the back, which was quieter. The room itself was large, very clean with a good sized (king) bed. The bed was rock hard but actually quite comfortable, especially after a day walking around Rome in the August heat. Air conditioning was a bit feeble with no discernable difference between low and high fan settings. TV only had one English station (CNN), but if all you have come to Rome for is to sit and watch TV in your room then you have wasted your time. The bathroom had only a shower (no bath tub) and the shower enclosure was small, but the water was hot and the water pressure good. The bathroom itself was immaculately clean, complementary soap, shampoo etc and clean towels every day. Breakfast was a typical continental affair with buffet style food. Cereals, rolls, cakes, yoghurts, ham, cheese etc. Dining room is on the fifth floor and is tiny, but the breakfast is adequate. One tip - the hot drinks come from a machine which is OK, but if you want a 'real' italian coffee (expresso, cappucino etc) then ask the lady behind the small bar adjacent to the dining room and she will make you one. The hotel itself is well located for site seeing. The Via Nazionale is a busy shopping street with a good variety of medium priced shops. Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colloseum etc all within 20min walk. Remember that Rome is built on hills and roads are often cobbled so walking can be quite tiring, but if you aren't in a hurry just walk slowly and soak up the atmosphere.

Hotel Miami was perfectly fine for a 3 star big city hotel. We had a family room, which consisted of 2 small rooms and a small bathroom. The kids slept on pull-out chairs. The breakfast was good, although we had to go down the elevator, and up to the 5th floor on the other side of the building. I would stay there again, because of it's location. It is 2 blocks from the train station, one block from the metro(to get to the Vatican), and close walking distance to the Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps- in one direction, and The Colosso and Forum- in the other direction. We enjoyed Rome- except they have a terrible graffiti problem.

The location of this hotel is very good : not far from the Termini train station, not far from the closseum or from Trevi fountain. Rooms are quiet.

Hotel Miami was very close to the train station which worked quite well for us. The rooms we had was quite spacious and was price for the quality it gave. However, the room in same price range for my parents was smaller. The A/C was just effective only after an hour of operation. However, we had a peaceful cool night with almost no noise even after the room was facing the main street. The breakfast had choices but only for non-vegetarians. There was little choice for vegans and vegetarians. The lobby of the hotel was very small, but they were accommodative of keeping our luggage pre check-in and post check-out. The receptionist conversed very well in English and was very welcoming. The hotel is on the main road which connects you well to the city by public transport, both bus and metro. This can be very useful while sightseeing Rome. Also, if one is in mood to walk and see Rome, the hotel is fairly close to the historic centre and on a nice day, it is walkable from most heritage points.

The hotel has a nice location to go everywhere in the centre of Rome. The staff was very pleasant, and talked fluent Spanish and English. We stayed in the hotel only for relaxing after long walks in the city. We will return again in our next visit to the city.

Six of us stayed in two triple rooms for three nights. Arrival by rental car was effortless: we followed signs from the Autostrada to the central railway station and Piazza di Republica, and drove right to the door of the hotel building to unload our bags. The reception desk is open at all hours, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had rooms on the third and fifth floors; the lift was convenient. Rooms are clean, with marble tile floors and small but serviceable bathrooms. Adequate hot water and water pressure in the showers of both rooms; a slow drain in one shower was fixed promptly by the manager. A/C and refrigerators worked well in both rooms. Traffic noise on the Via Nazionale is loud at all hours (and annoyingly loud at about 5 am when deliveries are made) but the noise is minimal when the windows are shut. Walls in the hotel are definitely not soundproof, and we heard the noisy family in the room next to us on the third floor from early morning until late night. A very nice "expanded continental" breakfast was served on the 5th floor. The Trevi Fountain, Quirinale, Vittoriano, and Church of Santa Maria Maggiore are all within easy walking distance; the Colosseum and Forum are just a little farther. Buses to all areas of Rome stop right near the hotel. Contrary to the advertisement, there’s no Internet availability in the hotel, but there’s an Internet café just across the street which charged 3 Euro per hour. Checkout was fast and without problems. No problem paying with VISA. The six of us shared a minivan to the airport; the cost was about the same as six railway tickets.

Enjoyed our stay at the Hotel and in Rome. The hotel was as represented on the site. Our room was clean and adequate size for Europe - small by normal American expectations. The breakfast was great and allowed a fast start to the day. The desk personnel were always friendly and very helpful. Sonya the evening clerk was very professional and after a couple of interactions we had some good conversations. She had great recommendations for dinner - ask her to hook you up with Angelo at the "2 Columns". Mario lived up to all the positive reviews, he was very pleasant and helpful to the morning crowd. Andy was 1 week on the job and every time we saw him he had a smile on his face. The location was great for catching the major tourist buses out front and the train station and metro were within 10 minues walk. The coleseum, Trevi and spanish steps were all also within reasonable walking distances. Recognize that the hotel shares the building with law offices and a bank...however they never bothered us. My improvement recommendations were internet other than a phone line and the air conditioning was Europe style - it was straining in June - I can only imagine July/August. Regarding comments around noise - we had a third floor room facing the street and with the windows closed the room was very quiet - a different story if you like sleeping with the window open. PS - If the vatican is on your schedule consider a tour unless you do not mind hours in line.

The location was excellent for our purpose;site seeing and drawing in some local color and experience. Although we were on foot we found many excellent places to eat. Parking was not too close, but atleast it was more reasonable then other locations. The breakfast was very good although a little crowded if you eat at a later time. We have stayed at several locations in Rome and they all have a different atmosphere because of the neighborhoods where they are located.

A hotel that was very well located with clean if small rooms. Our room faced onto the busy Via Nazionale but we had no street noise whatsoever to disturb us. The only complaint was the hardness of the bed. I favour hard beds but I have never before experienced anything like this. It was only marginally better than sleeping on sand. I would happily stay here again IF they changed the mattresses...if not, I could not recommend the hotel
