The hotel is conveniently located close to the termini station (5 min walk) and right next to the opera house (some rooms have a direct view of the opera house). However, the facilities are not clean. The hotel looks run down, worse than a 3-star hotel and there is mold in some of the rooms. The heating does not work well either and the blankets seem unclean. The first room I stayed had a strong humid, moldy smell and had not been ventilated for long. I switched to another room upstairs, in the main part of the building. and it was significantly better. The breakfast is very basic - just some bread, jam, coffee and tea but the smell from the sewer system sometimes goes into the breakfast room. Would not stay again.

The marble made the room look appropraite for Rome. Nice sitting areas in the hotel. Easier Internet access would be appreciated. Breakfast was fine.Staff was helpful.Someone was always on the front desk. We felt it was a secure hotel.

Big room, tiny bathroom. A bit cold(week 8). The heater was noisy, and the bathroom had to have an ektra fan, not suitable for wet rooms. Good location, quiet room(the one we had, anyway). Average breakfast, good front desk service.

1. Wi fi should be free like in the US instead of 3 euros (5 dollars) per hour. 2. No lobby on the first floor. 3. Bathroom shower door needs repair (room 329). 4. Front desk staff not as pleasant as US hotel front desk staff. 5. Hotel room was too hot even it goes to 17 degrees centigrade (December07) but could not go lowere. 6. Elevator was just enough for 3 people with carry-ons. 7. Breakfast was not as good as Ibis Hotel, another 3 star. * All of the above are pretty much standard for 3 star hotels I've stayed in in Europe (sadly).

Hotel is a basic 3 star hotel,clean,reasonably priced and well located near termini stn. Concierges very helpful. Dont expect luxury as you wont get it.

Not recommended for summer months as rooms would be very hot as they are small and a bit stuffy. Air con doesn't appear to work very well. We stayed in a back room facing a square so we were able to keep windows open all day and night but this wasn't possible in other rooms. Breakfasts just ok.

very good value for money. Very convenient location, all public transport is at hand. Friendly and helpful staff, rooms are not very large, but well equiped. If I would return to Rome I would choose this hotel again.

Really, really excellent hotel for the money. I do not understand why many websites make such a problem of staying in the Termini area. We like walking and Impero is within easy walking distance of everything (10-15 mins to Colloseum for instance) and yet no problems with street noise, etc. Area felt quite residential and not overrun with tourists. If anything the hotel undersells itself. The website doesn't even mention that there is a rooftop garden, tabletennis, reception staff who speak very good English, The Opera next door. We were maybe lucky, but we got a room which was extremely spacious and overlooking The Opera. Our only point of criticism would be that the breakfast let the place down. The bread was fresh enough, but there was no fruit or anything else healthy and the coffee was dreadful. Nice cafe just down the road... Thouroughly enjoyed our stay.

It could offer a better breakfast. The decoration is a bit extravagant, on the verge of being kitsch. However it is recommendable if you are easy going.

Required hotel close to Termini for early morning flight - easy walking distance to station - bathroom very difficult to navigate as soooo tiny - breakfast ok

Lovely hotel with a convenient location to train station and comfortable walking distance from historic sites. Roof top room had a delightful view, alas no table or chairs to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening.

The staff has very good english, which makes it easy to communicate. The area is close to Termini bus station and to Piazza Republica. it is definitely not scary at night. there are plenty of restaurants and hotels on the street. Breakfast is basic, but good enough.
