No internet in the rooms. No TV in the rooms. No restaurant in the 'hotel' (half of floor in a big building), but the rooms are clean and new. I would not recommend anyone to stay. Also, for whose who are not closely familiar with Rome (as I was): do not stay near Termini. Hotels in the area are overpriced and usually bad, as well as restaurants. Try other areas instead.

The positive thing in the hotel is the location and that it was totally renovated. Carlo at the reception was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately in the rooms ( one of them de lux) there was not television and refrigerator. By them the plasma TV didn't arrive after the reconstruction. The following day they put a small TV on a chair in the single room. The buffet breakfast made really big surprise. First we had to go to to a bar on the neighbour street. We got 1 coffee, 1 juice and 1 croissant. We bought on our cost normal breakfast. In the bathroom there was a jacucci wall, the problem was that there was not enough water pressure. But there was cleanliness, the windows are soundproof, unfortunately the wall not, therefore we heared even the smallest noise. The Trevi-Fountain is in walking distance. Probably we go back to this hotel, maybe next time everything will so, how it was written.

I stayed there for 2 nights. It seems there is only 1 staff there, who is also the owner. Kind, but very poor English. Not easy to communicate. The room is very small, but clean. Windows can be open, but the wind from the opposite air conditioner will come in. Bathroom is acceptable. Kitchen was out of service and I had breakfast in a Bar downstairs. The hotel paid for it of course. The actually price was much lower than I got from HotelClub.

We stayed at Gea di Vulcano on two occasions and the staff were very helpful on both occasions - including storing luggage for us and also giving a recommendation for a restaurant nearby which was fantastic.

We had a great stay here in Roma, Close to the train station, we walked straight to the hotel. Close to many attractions and a beautiful place for dinner the staff recommended.

I would recommend the Hotel Gea to anyone. It's a nice, clean, reasonably-priced little place that is close to many of the sights in Rome or has easy access to those places via Metro. It had a big, new bathroom that was impeccably clean. For the most part, it was quiet despite its location. The only thing that was a little different is that the hotel occupies one floor of a multi-floor building. The hotel door is locked after 7:00pm, so you have to buzz up to the desk clerk to let you in. I liked their breakfast, which was a little more than the usual bread, croissant and jam. I would definitely stay again.

I travel by public transport when in Italy, and this Hotel is ideally suited to that mode of travel. Close enough to either the metro or the main station to make arriving and departing stress-free. My room was spotlessly clean and spaceous and being away from the street, beautifully tranquil. Service is excellent, regardless of who is on Reception. I had a good three days in Rome, and the Gea helped to add to the experience.

i only stayed there my last night in rome- had been in sicily for a week, followed by a week's tour group around rome, venice and florence. the extra day in rome went really well. this is a small hotel inside old building, but not without its own bit of charm. the big wooden front door in front opens into a public area for the building, and you have to get through a second gate to get to the nicely decorated water fountain and goldfish they have out front. you then have to go up a couple steps into the stone hallway where you take an ancient+tiny elevator lift up to the 3rd floor where the hotel entrance is really located. the hotel also has a side entrance on the perpendicular street, and from there you can also take an elevator lift after you buzz in. room was simple but very comfortable. mine was the single so it was long and skinny and came with a long skinny hallway, but came with queen size bed, tv on the ceiling corner, table, luggage holder and practical bathroom. everything worked fine. i wasn't looking for anything fancy and very much appreciated the little bit of charm that came with the decor and ambience. location was the best- turn left you get to piazza republicca in less than 5 min, turn right you can get to the palatine hills and the ruins in about min. breakfast was okay- coffee was from an espresso machine but there's somebody there for some part-service, toast and tart was pretty good though not fancy and not homemade. lots of food around too, though nazionale was definitely more touristy than some of the other streets around. church across the street had a good orchestral performance i wish i'd gone to. went across the street to the internet cafe for internet (2E for 30 min). felt very safe even after dark, but i didn't stay out after 9:30.
