Compared to other places in Rome, the hotel is very quiet and comfortable, relating to the price. For travelers with small children and pram: As the place is located in the 5th floor and the elevator is very small, you could have some difficulties.

If you are looking for a "nice price" Hotel in Rome- this is the one, friendly staff and nice rooms.Exellent location 3 minutes from Termini and the metro. We used a triple room with bath and my only complain is that the plumming doesént work properly and the hotwater is not enough for 3 persons.I will come back to this hotel for sure.

If you are planning on staying at Hotel Cortorillo whilst in Rome my sincere advice is to reconsider your decision as it was categorically the worst hotel I booked on my recent month long holiday in Italy. In fact it was so bad I moved out after just four nights of a planned eight night stay. It was very easy to find another hotel that provided basic accomodation in the same price range without any of the problems that Cortorillo presented. The problem specifically? 1) No telephone in the room. Especially inconvenient if you are an international traveller and friends & family want to call you or if you want to call them. Reception staff would not let me take the cordless phone to my room when people called for me. Messages were not passed on. 2) The mouldy sewerage smell coming from the bathroom made me feel nauseaous. Naturally this made using the the bathroom unpleasant and the door had to be shut at all time. 3) Ventilation. Could not open the room window for natural light or fresh air. The air conditioner was weak and did not cool the room properly. Very stuffy in summer. 4) No hot water. Nothing was done to rectify the problem after four days of icy cold showers. In fact reception staff were indifferent when the problem was reported. 5) The single room was the size of a postage stamp. It was so small that my suitcase and backback took up all available floor space meaning that you could really do is just lie on the bed. Another hotel a few doors away from Cortorillo was able to provide a single room in the same price range that was about three times the size of the room Cortorillo provided. Space is the place. 6) Noise. All the noise from the dining area at breakfast time is especially annoying when you are trying to sleep. 7) Although Cortorillo advertise that they accept credit card they told me that they do not accept credit card when it was time to pay. It was only when they realised that I had no cash on me that

We got 4 beds (2 adults and 2 children in one room) for €125/night incl. breakfast, thats nice price i Rome. The hotel was on the fifth floor and the entrance looked cheap and simple. But staff ware polite and helpful. Simple breakfast. But for €125 for four persons it's ok. Nice with aircondition and fridge in the room. For us it was important to get a budget hotel near the railwaystation and that's what we got. No place for a romantic luxury weekend.

First stay in Cortorillo. No luxury, not cheap but near trainstation. Very small bahtroom, but clean. Only the sink stinks sometimes. The breakfast is okay. Overall not so bad for the centre of Rome.

Basic B&B accommodation - adequate, expensive for the price but that's Rome. Convenient for the train station...A cot for our daughter would have been good.

We can definitely recommand this hotel. Excellent quality-price ratio. (+) location only 5min from Termini station; small fridge in room; breakfast was very good compared to Italian standard (cappuccino, orange juice, toast, jam, cheese, croissant); relatively quiet; lift; friendly staff (-) heating was difficult to control; small bathroom with smell of sewers
