hotel excellent very good facilities, room decent size although fairly basic, and the bathroom was pretty bad, the shower leaked water into the other room, but the location of the hotel is excellent just 200yards from St.Peters

The room was small, but other halls and the garden were very comfortable. The staff at the reception is friendly and prepared to give all the information needed, but the service in the restaurant could improve. Location is excellent and helps avoid the busy hours in Vatican's museums and churches.

No non-smoking rooms. Very basic. Staff at front desk unfriendly and not helpful. Moldy showers.

We are not pleased. We have a transfert to another hotel because of a ''water' problem in hotel Colombus. This hotel was far away from the center Vatican area en was marked with 3 stars instead of the 4 stars we had asked. So we are convinced that we have payed too much. We ask for an arrangement.

Beautiful building in a great location, dramatically close to St Peter's. Excellent restaurant and bar. Breakfast in palatial surroundings. All very good service too. The big disappointment is the actual rooms, which do not fit into this picture. They have filthy carpets, depressing lighting and bathrooms in need of refurbishing. There is also no room service at night, so don't arrive late and expect anything more than what you can find in the mini-bar.

The ambiance of the old palace is wonderful BUT the bedroms are not top quality. I had to change my room 3 times due to the FIRST room overpoweringly smelling of solvent. No one checked this out in advance , the manager was unavailable for complaint and I could have been very sick with the smell.However, they did get it sorted in the end. Fabulous food in the dining room.

This is an outstanding 500 year old Hotel located next to the Vatican. It is on the edge of the old Rome, so getting around takes a little effort. I would stay again with my family on the next visit. The service, room, and breakfast was excellent.
