Roberto and Robertino made our stay a delight and we are sad to have left them behind. The hotel is surrounded by excellent restaurants - we particularly enjoyed the one almost directly across the street - on the corner.

We have returned from our trip to Rome two weeks ago and would highly recommend Hotel Celio to anybody staying in Rome. The charming hotel is ideally located on a quiet street, footsteps away from the colosseum and other sights (Forum Romanum, Palatin). There is also a metro and bus stop within easy walking. Hotel Celio is an elegant and comfortable place to stay with a small number of rooms, so it is very intimate. We were upgraded to the Ambassador Suite which has much of space. Standard and superior rooms are not large by international standards, but the roof garden is a nice place to relax after a long day. Our Room was perfectly appointed, beautifully decorated, very quiet and extremely clean. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast(fresh bread, croissants, marmelade, joghourt and orangejuice) was served on the terrace. We enjoyed our stay.

We wondered aloud as to wether the hotel staff might have shown us to a more spacious room if we had been overweight, as anyone carrying any sort of stomach would have had to reverse out of the shower in order to turn around.

The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city in a pleasant and quiet district that has a wonderful range of services, cafes and restaurants. While the rooms are not large by international standards they are perfectly appointed, beautifully decorated, very quiet and extremely clean. Service is very good, friendly and helpful. We will return to the Celio for our next visit to Rome.

The hotel was in an excellent location and the standard of decoration and furnishing of the hotel was of a very high quality. The only negative aspect of my stay was the high cost in relation to facilities offered. As a regular visitor to Rome I have stayed at other hotels in that area and have had much better breakfasts for less than half the price. However, it would be priceless for anyone whose top priority is a quiet room at night as this is not easy to come by in Rome.
