Located within 150 metres of the exit to Central Termini, it gave us the ideal central base for getting around Rome. A supermarket directly across the road made was very convenient, although you could not buy Coca Cola! The room was a reasonable size, but the shower was the smallest I have ever encountered - 60cm (2ft) square with a corner entry, so if you are a large person you would find it difficult to enter and exit. The lack of tea/coffee making facilities we found to be dissappointing - considering a kettle costs about E10 and a couple of tea bags and coffee bags is a pittance. Breakfast was a good value smorgasboard. All in all considering the cost, it wa sfair value for money.

The hotel is located very conveniently right next to the central railway station, called Roma Termini. Facilities I will rate average as the room (double for two persons) we stayed was tiny one; small TV with no international channels - remote controls are provided only on deposit of 10 Euro. Some hotel staffs at the reception are not very polite and often gets irritated if you ask anything, even simple information.

Convenient location for sightseeing, 20 minutes walk to either Colosseum or Trevi Fountain. Handy for transport to/from airport, directly opposite train station or shuttle buses 200 metres along road. The down side was the number of vagrants in this area although they gave us no bother. Spacious, clean room with a massive bed, small shower cubicle though. Breakfast was the only minus point cheap cornflakes, 'plastic' cheese/cold meat etc. Would certainly recommend the Aphrodite however and would stay there again.

I was not impressed with the service at the Aphrodite Hotel in Rome, due to the following: The bed had springs that protrubed into your back when resting, when I asked to be moved to another room, nothing was done, after a night sleep, I found I had pain in my back. I requested to see the Manager, who was rude, arrogant and not helpful, told me to turn the mattress over myself, he mentioned that all the mattress's throughout the hotel were the same. I was so upset, eventually my husband suggested that perhaps we could have extra blankets to put on the top of the mattress to try and cover the protrubing springs. I really would not recommend this hotel, there was basically no customer service, just rudeness.

I was in Rome for six nights in this hotel and it's a very good place to stay.The relationship between price/quality is really good for a hotel in Rome.The staff is very nice as well as the room, that was quite small but very very new.It's in front of the main transport station, it's a great avantatge but the inconvenient is that the neigbourhood seems a litle dangerous at nights, but we didn't have any problem.I would stay there if I went once more to Rome

Nicely renovated hotel, well located opposite the Termini Rail Station, which makes it a bit noisy throughout the night because of passing traffic. Nevertheless, it is a nice hotel, rooms are adequate, nicely furnished. Bathroom was very nice with all new fittings & nicely tiled. Reception staff friendly and very helpful. Would recommend as it is within easy walking distance of most of the tourist spots.
