Is this really a four star hotel? The room needed refurbishing and the mattress felt to hard for me. No coffee machine in the room. The breakfast was good even though they didn't offer egg & bacon, but I didn't like the coffee.

The Hotel is desperate for redecorating and refitting, it must be 20 plus years since basics were replaced. Untidy, uncared for, worn carpets, stains everywhere, corroded taps, cracked tiles, wiring dangerous. Rooms 611.612 & 614 just awful - 402-4 better. Hotel Clubs description as a converted palace is rubbish, more like a hostel. I cannot imagine how they can recommend it. And Plastic cutlery at breakfast!

Should be downgraded to a 2 star. Rooms appalling, falling apart, decor by Oxfam, beds should be thrown out. Needs a lot of investment. Staff quite helpful though.

It is only 2+ hotel when 4 stars i ekspekt more klining and the brekfest, specily the bret, is borring. The carpet in auer room neea a cleaning.

A four star hotel this is not. I would rate it no better than 2 star. Although the lounge and reception were good, the room we were in was poorly decorated and the furniture had seen better days. The breakfast area was divided into different levels so it was not a good idea to carry hot drinks on a tray. The most off putting item though was the provision of plastic knives and forks. As we left the hotel early, we used the hotel taxi service. This was a mistake as the ride was overpriced. Our only comfort was that our stay was a short one.

Great location but hotel rooms are rather old and tired and air conditioning not very efficient. I would rate this 3 star rather than 4. Friendly staff.

The breakfast room was untidy and overcrowded, and the coffee was not up to Italian standards. The location was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was a little noisy, mostly from the next-door neighbors.

I have stayed at the Anglo American Hotel several times now and I have recommended it to many friends. The hotel is extremely worth its price thanks to its perfect location, its nice staff and nice standard. I´m planning to go back and to continue recommend it.

small breakfast room, very crowdy in the morning.Climate control only works in summer months.Therefore, with open windows, very noisy traffic almost all night long.Small room. Could not close the bathroom door. Very centrally located though.

The location of the hotel is excellent with the Spanish Steps and Trevi fountain a 10 minute walk away. The hotel itself is very dated. The horrendously loud refrigerator in our room kept us awake and we had to unplug it, but other than that, it was a nice place to stay.

We stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic time, the staff were friendly and helpful, the location supurb, five mins walk to the spanish steps, metro and bus stops just around the corner, our room was at the front of the hotel and there was a little road noise, this did not bother us but maybe a room at the rear of the hotel would suit some people more.
