The location of the hotel is great for exploring Rome on foot (not that I did). It is walking distance to most of the must see sights and I must say that choosing this hotel for my first trip to Rome was a good choice. The rooms are clean but not too big. It is off a main road so noise was not a problem. But do arrange for the hotel for airport pick up as it could be a little tricky to find if you take the bus or metro if you are not yet orientated to Rome. But take a taxi back to the airport on departure as its cheaper than the limo service. Don't expect all the frills of a 4-5 star hotel. Its a small and cosy hotel and I would definitely stay there again on my next trip. Overall a positive experience. Hope this is helpful.

This was our first trip to Rome and the hotel was located in a perfect spot. Easy to get to all of the area attractions, cafes, and other transportation. The concierge was wonderful and very friendly. We stayed in one of the suites which was very nice, and "Peter Pan" was playing at the theater and we could hear the music. The shows usually end around 11:30 or midnight. Also...no electrical outlets in the bedrom loft area in case you need one. Great experience overall and highly recommend it. Nicola was fabulous!

We stayed at the hotel on two different occasions, but within the same week, due to going on a two day tour in the middle of the week. The first time was for 3 days 8-11 Sept '07 and the second from 13-15 Sept '07. The first stay over had us upgraded to a suite, which was a brilliant surprise on our arrival to Rome, however one issue which comes to mind is that the airconditioner did not work hat well, as it did not reach the bedroom upstair which made it impossible to sleep. On the second stay we were given a smaller room, with a double bed, however the amenities were all found to be great, no problems from memory, it was all good. Our general experience of the hotel was that all visitors were greeted by the hotel staff with a professional approach, the hotel seemed to be managed well and all amenities in the hotel were in good order and were accessible. The hotel is situated centrally to all necessary transportation, shops, laundry, restaurants & banks. Overall we found our experience with the Hotel to be quite outstanding, apart from the general noise provided by the maintenance being carried out in the hotel during our stay, otherwise we have no regrets.

we paid 250 euros/night, and got a tiny room that had a small outdoor space (which was nice) but, the space was completely surrounded by buildings... it was on the 1st floor and not much to look at. Location was good, near Spanish Steps and Barberrini Square.

The only fault I have with the hotel is that it stated on the website that the rooms have jaquicci in the bath however we had a shower (the shower was very good tho, however it went cold very quickly the hot water did not stay on very long). Other then that it was a lovely hotel walking distance to everything and very friendly staff. I throughly enjoyed my stay.

We stayed for three nights just this past August 11, 2007 and we certainly have a great time in Rome. Especially that the hotel Ottocento has a great location and the staff is beyond excellent! The bathroom is clean, and it is such new and modern. The room itself is spacious enough with a king-size bed. The food is great as well as the restaurant upstairs. Nevertheless, what we really like most aside from the room are the staff, very knowledgeable with friendly atmosphere especially to Nicko and Patricia. Surely, I will spread the word about this great hotel and certainly, I will stay again in Ottocento when I come back to Rome. Mary Ann and Viola, New York

Room was a little dirty and the sink did not function well. This was not what I would consider a 4 star hotel in Rome or anywhere else.

Good centrally located hotel. Room rather basic for 4 star hotel, but clean and quiet (room at back of hotel). Breakfast ok but not big selection. Biggest plus was to be within walking distance of many famous sights

Hotel was clean particularly our room & restaurant for breakfast. Staff were generally helpful, however there wasn't much tourist information in the hotel so we just went forth into Rome and found our own way (when we asked Reception staff one or two were a bit gruff but majority were helpful). Great location as we were able to walk to all major attractions & the hotel's immediate area was quite safe. Rome in general was extremely expensive for food and drink and this hotel was no exception to the rule! However overall we enjoyed it and would recommend to a friend.
