When we arrived in the evening, the Pension Prague City initially did not know about our reservation. A junk of papers contained the announcement of our arrival. It was obvious, the place was overbooked even though the reservation was confirmed. We were offered a far inferior other place to spend the first night. When asking for the reasons why, we were treated quite rudely and did not receive appropriate answers. Even though the internet offer at ViaMichelin of the hotel included breakfast, we initially had to pay additional for this as well. Again we were treated rudely. It was unbelievable. Some minutes after our arrival, we learned that we were not the only ones who had to stay in another hotel. Overbooking appears to be a 'natural habit' for Pension Prague City. Luckily we found another place around the corner with higher level of service, much friendlier staff and in the same price category. From our perspective and experience, Pension Prague City is not recommendable.
